From the poor results by English clubs in previous rounds we might have the situation where there are 4 PL clubs in the next round.
Arsenal are through, so are Chelsea. Liverpool need to beat poor travellers Basel at home and City just need a 1-1 draw to qualify.
Not such a bad league. Apart from QPR. They really are bad.
Poor Premier league?

I don't even know how that's even up for debate.
------
Because they have the same issues every season and never challenge right up until the end of the season.
They're your team, you should be aware of that.
Maybe if they replace Wenger with a better manager they might be challengers. But it doesn't look like they'll realistically challenge for top honours for the next three seasons.

Injuries is not an excuse either, you either train your players better or buy less injury prone players and if you don't then it's the management's fault and thus shows that other teams have a better overall setup. It's a team game and that includes management, medical and all the other peripheries. If Chelsea for example have a better medical team, it's competitive advantage, hence being better. No excuses.

This is true, and why so many Arsenal fans are fed up with their constant injuries over the years.
Can't believe I'm agreeing with United we win. Well done, Rob, look what you've pushed me into. I hope you're proud of yourself.

I also think at Arsenal, Tottenham and now recently United, players tend to down tools very very quickly. When things arent going well, some players do look for a quick way out rather than being out there with the team. At Chelsea, it just seems like there is a culture within the club that is very focused, driven and professional and everyone wants to play. Not sure we can say that about every team.

In other words they're a bunch of pusssies.

Well yeah. Take pig Persie for example. Just what was his injury record under moyes and under fergie.

Its not necesarily a culture either (although Fergie seemed to inspire it in weaker players) we just sign players with the right mental attitude. Jose has shown a few times he will drop/sell players that he doesnt think have what it takes to be in his side, and those reasons aren't necessarily to do with ability.

Man city might still have to win to qualify. Cska Moscow are no mugs and Bayern Munich will find it difficult to be motivated against a side ride up for it. CSKA did a job on Man city they have done ok against Roma in one game and if Bayern Munich rest players then you should say it couldbe CSKA Moscow through.
