Leeds United v Fulham Matchday Thread

On to the Football ..............after another exciting week in the saga that is Leeds United we move on to the bread n butter stuff welcoming Fulham for our first game against them since 2004.
Will we afford Ross Mac a well deserved warm welcome or will we end up suffering at the hand (or feet) of "The Scottish Striker" ????????? All will be revealed .

Venue:.. Elland Road....Date: Saturday 13 December....Kick-off: 15:00

Team News
Bellusci remains a fitness concern after picking up a knock last week against Ipswich.
Midfielder Rudy Austin and striker Billy Sharp are both pushing for a start, while Chris Dawson is hoping for his first start of the season.

Fulham
will be without suspended goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli, so Gabor Kiraly starts in goal.
Defenders Fernando Amorebieta and Tim Hoogland are still out as is winger Lyle Della-Verde .
Leeds:
Recent form: LDWLDL
Possible starting lineup: Silvestri; Byram, Cooper, Pearce, Warnock; Cook, Mowatt, Bianchi, Adryan; Doukara, Antenucci

Fulham:
Recent form: DDWLWL
Possible starting lineup: Kiraly; Zverotic, Burn, Bodurov, Stafylidis; Ruiz, Parker, Williams, Christensen; Rodallega, McCormack

You'll have to update the Teams as they come up........I'm at work AGAIN!!!!! ..

Fulham have the worst defensive record in the division having shipped 39 goals in their 20 outings, 27 of which have come on the road. Indeed, they have not kept an away clean sheet for 28 matches now, conceding a whopping 74 goals in the process. (figures courtesy of Sportsmole)

So, here I go again another win prediction (cos I don't know how to predict owt else )
It's a 2-0 Scoreline for me but only if we can keep McCormack out of the game Adryan and Mowatt to score

Over to You........................Predictions, Scorers ...........All Fans Welcome..............

Come Onnnnnnnnnnnnnn Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds!!!

Best, I just find it interesting that he's really talked up the academy:

“the best category two academy in the country.”

yet doesn't have the cochones to promote any of them even to the bench, not a single one.

Well just maybe they aren't quite ready yet Jonty!

Would you like him to promote a couple of them too early and possibly set them back a bit?

He knows his academy players so let him decide when they are ready.

Stoopo, if he likes to tell us how great they are then he should play them.

Otherwise, he should stop hyping himself up and start delivering.

7 points out of 21 is relegation form.

Or, one could look at it this way:

This is great we have one of the best Academies in the country - we have 3 kids from the Academy in the starting lineup, and 1 on the bench! How many other championship teams have as many or more?

Jonty, can you name any other championship teams that have as many recent promotions from their academies in their teams/squads?

Once one got past McCormack and Ruiz, pronouncing every Fulham's player's name was a challenge for me at 7:00 am!

Jonny, it's about how many Redfearn has brought in after saying how great his academy is.

None.

Our team is woeful the majority of the time, yet the same players are played week in week out.

If academy is so great, how come none made it through under the former academy boss?

Good News re Warnock.................

Poor result and poor performance today. Not pulled my hamstring I wasn’t feeling well during the game and got dehydrated and cramped up.
