Big fan of Akpom, think he could potentially make it at arsenal. I genuinely think he should be in the squad rather than Sanogo who lets be honest, wouldn't get into any other premiership team.
Other than being bang average, he is damn injury prone and will be lucky to play 15 games per season.
What you guys think?
How is Sanogo preffered over Akpom?

Sanonegoal is a shocking injury prone player who should not be at our club.
Akpom and Afobe are not great but much better players than he is.Once again Wenger is the only person who "can't/won't see it". Oh yes and despite the win on Saturday I'm still a Wenger out person.

Akpom and Afobe are All round average players. Might be overall better than Sanogo, but offer no tactical advantage in any area of their game to be useful to the manager.
Sanogo is far and away the best Aerial forward in the team (8 out of 10 headers won in the prem), and as a result offers a tactical option to the manager.
Akpom is promising, yes. But at the moment, there's literally NOTHING he can do better than anyone else in the first team's attack (Better dribblers, finishers, off-the-ball runners, link up players, passers, crossers)
The only thing he offers us right now is hope. Hope he can grow to become a class player. For now though, rushing him into the first team would just end with him getting a long term injury...quite like EVERY OTHER youth player we've fast tracked into the first team in the past 3-4 years.

Not sure you have seen Afobe play. Akpom and Afobe are not similar.

Lets be fair. To be honest Wenger even with favouritism is still a super spotter of young talent.
And in case of Afobe/Akpom I think he will make the correct judgement. He deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Come off it. Afobe is probably more injury prone than sanogo. 2 massive layoffs in his short career already, and even in his best games for MK Dons this year, hasn't produced any performance highlighting what tactical advantage he could provide the team that we don't already possess in either Lukas, Joel or Yaya.
That's the point I'm making. Tidy promising players like Jay Simpson and Arturo Lupoli (Remember him?) may look the biz at youth level, but it's still the bendtners (big lad), Gnabrys (Power + pace + 2 feet), with obvious strengths that make it in the prem.
If you look through my comment history you'll see I'm big on unfair physical advantages in players.
Sanogo undoubtedly has one (Aerial prowess), so does Ox (balance + pace on the ball), hence the game time they get.
What do Benik/Joel/Chuba have that would justify them a place ahead of Yaya in the team?

Technical competence. You know thinks like trapping the ball, first touch, seeing the pass early, running with it at pace, not panicking in the crucial moment when finishing.
Looking at ages, I suspect Welbeck (23) has to a great extent already put Sanogo's (21) and probably Afobe (21) position at Arsenal in doubt.
Akpom (19) is still young enough to follow Welbeck as a backup and replacement if he develops.

Strange that it is only probable for Benik, yet Yaya is part of the squad and getting games while Benik is out on loan and seeing his contract run out.

Afobe is finished at Arsenal.

Welbeck came to us because he wanted to play up front and now he's playing wide left...

Not really. All our front 3 rotate. Thats why we look a little vulnerable when Giroud is on the wing as he doesn't have the pace to defend.
Wenger is still playing 4-1-4-1 with the forward 3 rotating. I suspect that will be eventual formation to accommodate Theo and Alexis, Ramsey/Wilshere in the same team.
