A drearies positive cheer

If you cheeries want some, ill give it ya!!

Some positive cheer thats what!!!

Leeds United is a fantastic football club that has set its stone in the history of the game. Whilst others scoff at our recent past few can boast of our great past. It may be history but at least we have some, and what an history it is!

Some were fortunate to see the legends of the 60-70s who put Leeds United on the world football map. World class footballers.

Gary Sprake
David Harvey
Paul Reaney
Terry Cooper
Norman Hunter
Jack Charlton
John Charles
Trevor Cherry
Billy Bremner
Jonny Giles
Mick Bates
Bobby Collins
Peter Lorimer
Paul Madeley
Mick Jones
Allan Clarke
Eddie Gray

Then the resurgence of the 90s. I lived through these years and can look back on fondness at the lads who game me something i thought i would never see whilst growing up a kid in the 80s - a league championship and trips to Wembley.

John Lukic
Mel Sterland
Tony Dorigo
Chris Fairclough
Chris Whyte
Gary McAllister
Gary Speed
David Batty
Lee Chapman
Gordan Strachan
Rod Wallace

and who can forget those legends of the mid-late 90s and Champions league era

Nigel Martyn
Paul Robinson
Gary Kelly
Ian Harte
Lucas Radebe
Rio Ferdinand
Jonny Woodgate
Oliver Dacout
Lee Bowyer
Harry Kewell
Jimmy Hasslebaink
Mark Viduka
Tony Yeboah
Alan Smith
Danny Mills

Try making a greatest Leeds United team from these players and it will rival any in the world.

Three tremendous eras

An amazing world wide fan base - many lay dormant but they are still there. I will never forget the 50,000 at the playoff final against Doncaster.

The greatest football anthem is ours - Marching on Together

We even have our own salute

This current set-up are merely holding the baton until the next legends of Elland Road are made.

We will return, one day and when we do it will be really special.

That's what i'm talking about,.Doesn't it warm your cockles to think about being a fan of the greatest football club on earth. All it needs now is for this to spread throughout the board and get everyone thinking possitive instead of looking for the negative.

Good article Kebab, and a lot more positive.

We have a new owner, a new coach, a new assistant coach, new players and a new team, they all basically started from scratch.

It's been a bumpy ride so far I grant you, but the potential to improve is there. We've all seen it, Redders first temp role, then the Derby game; the skills and abilities are all there in every player for all to see.

With everyone being virtually new this season, it's a like a jigsaw puzzle, you first have to find the right pieces to fit in the right places.

We have the players with skills and abilities, and it's up to Redders to put the right pieces in the right places, once that happens this team, and these players can go a long way.

I see us climbing the league ladder during second half of season due to players learning what went wrong in first half.

Cellino has turned the club around financially, we're standing on more solid foundations. Cellino/Salerno brought in good players and got rid of the deadwood.

Still more deadwood to go, but all up things are looking more positive despite our results. This is a team of new players learning to walk before they can run, so is Redders as it's his first 1st team coaching role.

For me the potential is there, it's easy to nit pick at the faults and flaws, every team have them, but looking at the more positives, and what's been happening since Cellino took over shows we're heading in right direction.

Kebab, have you watched films where there's that 1 person, or group that do nothing but try to find the negatives, then there's that 1 person, or group who look for the possibilities, potentials and the positives, and they never give up?
