Hull City 0 Leicester City 1

A hard-earned victory at the KC Stadium today.

Leicester more than matched their opponents in the first-half with an energetic performance, holding their own very well in defence with Waz and Wes effectively stifling out the threat from Aluko. Matt James was magnificent in the first-half and was involved in much of the action. Jeff Schlupp was also very industrious.

Ben Hamer had a busier second-half by far. His distribution (by kicking) needs to improve, he could also secure the ball rather than needlessly punching on occasions. Other than that he was solid. Hull could, and perhaps should have taken their chances after the break, Livermore going particularly close to levelling the scores.

Some feedback from others who were in attendance would be greatly appreciated as lighting failures throughout the stadium made for difficult viewing at times.

Finally luck was on our side yesterday.

Amazing what a win does though. Like reduce the new article rate by about 600%

Happy with the win. Just goes to show how bad the teams at the bottom are that we are only three points from safety after our recent run. Some hope yet.

Dunge - I've been wondering if i've jinxed Leicester for some time - I first got my season ticket the year Peter Taylor became manager. No more live games for me..

Downsouf - thanks for sharing the post match summary, excellent stuff!

Just watched the MOTD highlights and boy were we fortunate to come away with 3 points but hey, to be honest we've more than earned some luck coming our way. Lets hope we can stay in touch and perform some miracles in the January window...!

He turned the key, the engine spluttered into life. His windows on this December morn were iced and misty. As he looked for the plastic blade, a pathetic excuse for a de icer, he noticed a distraught figure crouched in the corner of his vehicle.
"Who are you?" he exclaimed.
"Oh don't worry about me, I am just the figure of gloom and doom. I have been sent from St Pauls." he whispered softly.

Nuneaton - agreed, what could be our saving grace this season is the fact that we are still in it after 13 games without a win. I wouldn't be surprised if this season was the lowest points total in prem history was survival.

........the clouds rolled, the wind grew in intensity as the realisation that the great one, that had forecast "we are all doomed" bedraggled in a Stewart kilt, had changed direction.

Blackstar between 1998 (my first game) and March 2001 I used to go maybe 6 times a season and never saw us lose at all. Then we lost 2-0 to United at Old Trafford and that was broken. My home record lasted even longer until a 5-0 defeat to Bolton destroyed it

I remember that defeat to Bolton! First game of the season wasn't it??

I remember coming away absolutely gob smacked, we expected a comfortable home win.....the rest of course is history

Not an accomplished report such as you would have entered BS but I felt someone had to submit something on this match, and that it was likely to fall upon me to do so being fairly local.

I chose not to venture into the realms of 'player ratings' as the light diminished and it was difficult to see who was who.
