J Bruce Ismay

At 1.45am on April 15, 1912, an hour and a half after the Titanic hit the iceberg, J Bruce Ismay, president of the company that built the ship, jumped into one of the last lifeboats to leave on the starboard side.

At 6ft 4in, Ismay towered over the other survivors sitting on the boards, most of them Lebanese women and children, none of whom had any idea who he was.

ACE and Choice,
With all due respect, I believe that you are lost. This is a football platform not a "feelings" outlet. Unless you can somehow tie this jerk Ismay into having a part ownership of a football team, there's not much more that can be done.

His brothers grandchild was Steve J Bruce, Ismay may not true though.

Personally, I blame the ice berg.

You can't really go around blaming the icebergs. They're a territorial creature and I imagine the poor thing was startled by a 46,000 ton ship. Its first thought would have been to protect its young and I for one don't blame it for attacking.

I don't think we'd have the same uproar had the Titanic been torn apart by lions in Kenya.
