The court's verdict was based on the bird being unable to consent to se x. Going by that logic how was she deemed to have consented to se x with his mate? You cant be able to consent one minute then be unable to consent some minutes later. Too much doubt for me.

But it was beyond reasonable doubt for the jury...?

Makes you wonder on the quality of his defence team if there was so much doubt doesn't it...?

To the jury it was but as a reasonable human being my mind is programmed to question how you can consent to se x this minute and cant the next.
Its also weird how the jury accepted Evans story as complete fact except the part where she consented and allegedly asked him to 'lick her out' and do it 'harder'.

She could have consented earlier and when not as drunk, which led to them both going to the hotel. Evans arrived later, after she was well gone, and helped himself to her. That's the crux of the prosecution's case as far as I know.

Strange though Eric, as he was a League One player before, now his reputation is tarnished, 2 years without playing as well will surely have had an effect. I don't really think he's a money maker.

Mamba.
She met McDonald and went back to a hotel with him. Evans let himself into the hotel and watched McDonald have se x with her, then did so himself after. It's not a case of she met two guys and went back with them. She went back with one guy. Imagine if you were her in this situation - a stranger lets himself into the hotel room. You'd be terrified.

Everyone saying how can she be able to consent one minute and then not the other. But think about nights out you've had - you might be very drunk and remember certain things on your way home, but then not actually getting into your house or that as soon as your head hits the pillow you crash out.

Thats my point. You cant have a criminal conviction based on 'he could have'. If that was so we can say that she 'could have' consented after all seeing as she cant remember whether she did or not. She gave herself to Evans mate without him even asking. Why is it so hard to think she might have consented and not remembered? She did not remember consenting to Evans mate.

Whatever happened, happened. We don't know all the evidence, but what we do know is that a jury in a British court, guided by a QC judge, found him guilty of rape. Two subsequent appeals, held by QCs, upheld that verdict. Unless new evidence materialises in support of his claimed innocence, he will remain a convicted rapist and I, along with thousands, will continue to label him as such until such time as the verdict is quashed, if it ever is.

Peak you're right, he's convicted until overturned. Whatever the circumstances or outcome Evans hasn't done himself any favours. Equally, if the stories are taken at face value it's a very strange way to conduct yourself when the "victim" offers to keep a story quiet in return for payment.

That, in my opinion, is equally wrong. Tantamount to perverting the course of justice or bribery.

Bloke just didnt help himself in my opinion.
- recieves the infamous 'iv'e got a bird' text
- rocked up at hotel
- obviously told his brother and mate whatever he was going to do inside would be worth filming, else they wouldnt of bothered trying to do it.
-lied to receptionist to get room key
-why not just go to it and knock the door if people inside BOTH KNEW you were coming?
-sneaked out fire exit afterwards.

These all seem like very sneaky actions.
You can't prosecute a man on this alone i know, but its all slightly dodgy.

The girl saying what she will spend the money she recieves, on twitter is also quite remarkable.

I don't think any of them come out of this with flying colours.....Maybe they should lock them all up,and keep the rest of men and women safe.
