You are right Polbethian having thought about this I think if Murray plays Novak again in any future Grand Slam Final I think I will refrain from watching as this is not my idea of fair sporting integrity, I know he is a great player but I wouldn't watch that again, I thought the word sportsman was to be a battle between two people or two teams competing again each other and the best man or woman wins in their chosen sport this was also to involve respect for each other during this battle, that is what sport is, sport has now become tarnished with a win at all costs mentally, look at cycling, swimming, etc, I know Murray and Novak are good friends off court, but I could tell at the end that when Novak congratulated Murray and Kim's wedding engagement he wasn't smiling or happy, he accepts he should have not let it get to him but I think he was truly surprised that as friends off court that would at least mean something, I know for a fact that if I was competing in a huge occasion/match like that I would lose respect for that person if he acted like that, surely real friendship isn't worth losing for a piece of silver and a fat cheque, He in my opinion should take a leaf out of Federers book people may say he is disrespectful after a game when losing but that is because he is a perfectionist and always feels that if he plays 100% he should beat anybody at the other end of the net, therefore he always blames himself, but on the court he is the perfect role model for all young up and coming tennis stars, I also don't think even at his age and all the tournaments he plays he is hardly ever injured, never moans, just gets on with it, does his talking always on the court.

I have lost all respect i had. One of the greatest players to pick up a racquet but that was deplorable.

As you say to do that to a so called good friend doesn't sit right.

If i was Andy the friendship would be over and he'd be in no doubt as to why.

Still raging at the cheat

It was disappointing to see, but sadly it isn't the first time we have seen Novak do this kind of thing.

Can't forget Federer wearing his new 'jacket' with '5' etched on it after beating Roddick in a five setter whie picking up the trophy.Zero class.
Murray was beating himself,he said as much during one of his rants on court,'you're doing it to yourself again' or something similar he cried. Top level sport has a win at all costs mentality to many, particularly the serial winners.
