Amazing to see that Celtic supporters have taken out a full-page advertisement, in one of the top newspapers up here, stating legal arguments as to why their game against Rangers next week will be a first against a "new club". The desire is to drive home that old Rangers is dead.
Why they have done this is a mystery maybe, unless they just wish to push forward the opinion that a new club, formed after a previous club has been liquidated, is a new entity.
Made me wonder is Wolves can still lay claim to titles etc that were won in the 50's, having had their own woes in the 1980s.

It's all a bit silly from Celtic if you ask me. No doubt they would want to be seen as the same old Celtic if a similar thing happened to them.

Leeds did the same thing. they are a new company, but no one seems to question if the club is the same.

It is quite comical and clearly Celtic are using this as a bit of a wind up, but they should be smart, without Rangers, Celtic are a non entity.
Scottish football is on its knees and that is down to Rangers disappearing, it needs both teams to be there.

In answer to the original question. No, you can't lay claim to the trophies you won in the 50s. That was a different club as has been proven.
In short, this means the Albion have won more trophies than you.
