Fernando

Have to say, it was fantastic to see us put all our differences to one side for one day and unite as a fanbase once more.

Totally gutting to see what that illness has done to the man, although, it remains clear to see that the spirit that embodied his career with us is still burning within him. Walking off after his fall is testament to that.

Was a weird day though, very unusual in that the emotions felt before, during and even after the game, had that "buzz" that something big was happening. Neil McCann alluded to it in his interview at HT, and I would agree with it completely. Despite the sadness of the circumstances that we were holding the match, it just felt like a big occassion.

Good to see some old faces from the past coming back to Ibrox as well. Some have clearly let themselves go, but some still have the ability! De Boer one of those, as did Numan, and Gatusso, well we need some of that desire in the current midfield! From the other side, Sheringham is still a class act, and his first goal was just top drawer. Although Beattie scoring at Ibrox. He could have done that for us a few times!!

We certainly did, TBBAB, we certainly did.

Klos pulled off some saves that was like being back in 2001 once again!

I'm glad it was such a success as the whole confusion over the boycott had threatened to derail the event.

On the day though 40,000 is a huge statement of support and is a massive credit to the Rangers support for giving one of their own and such a good cause their full backing.
