I was fortunate enough to get the Pedigree Suite package for the Chesterfield game which included Q&A with Archie Gemmill and Roger Davies.
I'd like to pass onto you a story about Archie recounted by Roger.
It was when Archie was a Dog. Roger said that when the teamsheet was put up for the 1980 European Cup Final, Archie was mortified that he wasn't on it and made a b-line for Cloughie's office. Archie said to Cloughie that he "wasn't happy". To which Brian said, "well which one are you then?"
Made me chuckle.

I was looking at a old tube clip of you lot versus us lot FA Cup 1982/3 Archie was playing for u, after PT had defected. I always thought that we had bought him from you lot, or was it Leeds???
Anyway did he play for Derby twice in his career? I always rated Arch for his tremendous engine and box to box work rate. He scored for you that day too ended 2-0.

yeah he did RFB, I can remember him lifting the league trophy on the Star Soccer credits every Sunday, after we won the league in 75. He was with you when he scored the wonder goal against Holland in 78. Great player

I don't have any Archie Gemmill stories, but I did live next door but one to Scott for a while. Some contractors working on my house blocked his micro-bore plumbing, which meant he couldn't use the loo or have a shower for a few days. Not only wasn't he happy , but he didn't half hum by the end of it!
