Roman Reigns

"Also, why has HE kept The Shield's ring gear and entrance music? A complete makeover could be the making of his career."

Does anybody else think that the are showing how little faith in him as a viable singles character? This identification with the shield is staying with him, so much so that if i was Roman and i saw the characterization changes to Rollins and Ambrose, id be worried in the extreme.

We all know the desire for E to promote juiced up beasts, but in this case are they eating their own poison?

The remaining association with the mighty shield, coupled with the beastly nature of his characterization. Seems like a clear path choice by the E, to force another "vince guy" down our throats.

This course of action has rightfully misfired and the point is made more abrasive with the presence of Bryan, a man who is in complete antithesis to Vince and his blinkered view of what makes a top guy.

The rumble was imo, the straw that broke the camels back, the inclusion of Bryan and the way he was written in, was complete car crash tv!! If the symbolism was not strong enough there, we then see the Rock (the quintessential yesterday man/cheap pop guy) come out to save face for the company (not Reigns), yet fails miserably, almost to the point where he is invisible.

The E universe is in a bit of disarray and i love it.

So you want a WM main even triple threat between 3 men who have all turned in the 2 months leading up to it?

Still not sure what you mean by "Brock's accidental face turn" how in any way is he a face or going to be considered one?

I hear you comletely! Its interesting though as u mention Ziggler and Bryan because these guys are very over with the fanbase, yet have been insulted by the E.

I think there's no doubt that Bryan is the most popular right now. He's probably the most popular since Cena/Batista in 2005. When that happens, you must revolve the main event scene around that person (if he is healthy of course). This will also give time to build other popular stars such as Ziggler, Ambrose etc. That's where they made a big mistake in this Rumble, but you must remeber in the last Rumble Reigns was getting cheered and now he's getting booed, so I don't know.

Do you think Reigns` is being over pushed?
=====================================
As I said before I don't watch much anymore, but I think he is, still don't think he deserved to be booed. It was actually quite nice to see a new, younger talent win the Rumble, but I definitely don't think he should've set the Rumble eliminations record last year. That was too much.

Setting the eliminations record isn't so bad is it? It's not like winning a world title but it's something for the commentators to mention, show's he's a big bad mo fo. The Shield then were massive and he was their biggest guy.

Now with Brocks broken rib (real or not) will this affect the abysmally named Fast Lane PPV and/or WM main events?

I agree, it's not a massive deal and was able to push him, but the problem is I know Shield are highly respected, but Reigns could've been a bit of a flavour of the month (a bit like The Miz at one point, Sandow, Kennedy, Del Rio, where are these guys now?) and to give him the record and beat Kane who did it in 2001 (one of the best Rumbles ever in my opinion) was a massive star, but was under-used even at that time. It was quite a special moment.

Admittedly I never watched the 2014 Rumble and Reigns may have performed as well Kane in 2001, but it seemed a little excessive when I checked the result on the internet. Maybe nostalgia took over and I just didn't want Kane's record to be beaten.

In attitude no, he's a tweener. In crowd reactions he most certainly is.

Since returning for this program at the Rumble he's been getting pretty much unanimously cheered - every move, every word on Raw is getting a pop, and WWE have since done nothing to attempt to address that, they've reinforced it if anything by pitting him against Rollins the last few weeks, which I believe isn't by design (i.e. accidental face turn).

The match would technically consist of two tweeners and a heel, but all three would be mad over in their respective roles and Rollins would win (keeping with tradition of the baby faces closing the show).

They will change it up somehow if Reigns continues to be booed, but that scenario is an effective solution without Bryan getting involved - which apparently WWE are unwilling to consider

They always say stuff like that to get you to watch then it ends up being the announcement of some match that most couldn't give a shlt about.

Why you would do this to people who essentially pay you is beyond me.
