Well that's clear then.....

I'm assuming he isn't returning in April and that he's sold a share in the club.

Any thoughts or better interpretations?

Salonika, yes, steep. I was with one of the oldest
club members - he was 93 at the time. He shot an
80 in howling wind and rain. Took us on the tour.
Than proceeded to put our bar bill on his slate.
Lovely chap.

Wow, H!

Many people in LA have a 50 degree rulke in place here - will not play unless it is warmer than 50 degrees Farenheit (about 10C)!

May only be able to play for about 3 weeks per year in Yorkshire with that rule, eh?

Was about 6/7 at the weekend, which is alright, carrying a bag and walking quickly soon warms you up.

Been feeling about -3 and windy last three weeks down in Essex where I play. These southern softies don't quite get why 'the weird Yorkshireman' they play with goes out in all weathers, enjoys it, and plays just the same as when it's hot and sunny!
"You've not had the right upbringing", I tell 'em !

Must just be me who is a soft then, can't even bring myself to go to the range. Stick to the football where you can at least run about. The use of fairway mats is big off-putter though, same shot every time, the old guys putting the ball on the edge so it's like it's on a tee and hitting a driver

Played in a wind registered as 44mph the other week. Fellow I was paired with hit his ball off a tee and it landed on the green adjacent, went up in the air and swung back like a boomerang...! Mine went miles in a straight line, sadly straight out over the sea....! The pair we were playing both hit theirs like rockets straight down the middle of the fairway.

Yesterday it was slightly less windy, but freezing cold.

Great fun.

Golfers

At last something on the Leeds boards that isn't a "who's length is fatter" debate about Italians and miserable fecks.

I live just outside Doncaster but our Society play all over Yorkshire really.

Local course is call Hickleton, very nice but quite hilly.

In Leeds I like Cookridge Hall, Temple Newsam & Oulton Hall.

Play off 16 at the minute but not played much this winter.
