Oi fellow fans...!

..............................................................
..............................................................

I know we have many on here believe we should persist with a striker that can't hit a barn door from two foot but how much longer do we continue with Steve Morison up front on his own...?

Goals win games, contrary to popular belief it's not running down channels, being the best defensive striker the world has ever seen, being able to trap a ball and being a nice bloke, nope it's goals. We score more than the opposition, we'll win the game.

Being as, after we lost last night, we are not a winning team (remember we're not supposed to change one of them) is it not time to try a new approach...?

Time to be bold against Watford....? Or continue in the same rich vein of inadequacy up front...?

You choose.

Anyone disagree or agree...?

When have we bossed games prior to our post xmas run?

We don't have the squad to win every game, not sure why people start pointing the finger at tactics/coach when it's obvious we are short 3/4 top players.

We are mid table, which is good for the season we've had with some extremely poor results and runs of defeats. I', just relieved we'll be playing championship football next season.

I think Eric and Shaun have a point.

Whilst it's been good to come up with an effective game plan that gets the most out of the players we have and tighten us up defensively, there was always going to come to a point where we stop nicking games 1 : 0. It also put a heavy burden on keeping largely the same team, and not making any mistakes.

Look it's one defeat and we'll see how we follow that up at the weekend, but we need to be able to win games where the opposition score or where we make a mistake.

There's an argument for saying there was nothing
wrong with sticking to the 'winning formula' but we just didn't execute it or do it well enough last night.I just think it puts alot of pressure on keeping people fit and in form.

We have the likes of Antenucci and Doukara, who haven't looked a good fit in the recent formation, but have weighed in with quite a few goals earlier in the season. Can Redfearn find a way of keeping us tidy at the back but with more of a threat up front? Not saying we should just discard Morrison and tear up our game plan (he's done well for the team) but it just needs looking at.

Seems like you've been waiting for us to lose to start you're criticism of redfearn again Shaun. Wasn't so easy when we were climbing the table?

We lost a tough game away at a decent time. We were playing two up top earlier before Xmas and we were awful. The change and Morison getting his chance have been key to us getting away from the relegation zone. Like Harrogate says he wont play through injury, I'd imagine that Cani will play.

The questions are

I know we have many on here believe we should persist with a striker that can't hit a barn door from two foot but how much longer do we continue with Steve Morison up front on his own...?

and

Being as, after we lost last night, we are not a winning team (remember we're not supposed to change one of them) is it not time to try a new approach...?

and

Time to be bold against Watford....? Or continue in the same rich vein of inadequacy up front...?

Those questions relate to now, not what was happening before Christmas.

Do we just simply continue as we are.....?

I hope his injury isn't serious.

Players have played the last couple of games that people say should take his place, have they scored?..

Midfield seem to be our main supply of goals, but Morison is doing more for the team then the player's you want him replacing with!..

Its ok changing it about a bit, but when you don't have the right player's to change it how you want, that makes things very difficult!..

We don't have the wing men to help the striker's, or the Midfield General that everybody seems to like pointing out!..

These things should have been thought out before bringing 15 player's in, you need the right mix or you'll get what we now have!..

Would you play Morison or Becchio....?

Given that choice...

Eric, witch one was a carthorse?..

I like the ones that can fall over the ball, forget they're meant to be heading it in the away goal mouth and not the home,(oh sorry, Morison can do that to!)and know that when you trip over it when its on that little spot in the away goal mouth as long as you trip with the right force you'll stand a very good chance of putting it in their onion bag!..

Funny, those sorts are the ones that seem to score lots of goals, but get slaughtered for their good work!.

And no, if he'd come back I wouldn't have thought twice about putting him the firing line of the few around here!.

A carthorse, a carthorse, a goal for a carthorse, even pens count!.
