Reactionary article

All past performances are put in perspective by tonight's result.

Our league position is irrelevant.

Good teams don't have bad games.

Every player who had a bad game tonight should be sold to the highest bidder.

Wenger must go.

The players knew we wouldn't win the tournament because we're not as good as the best teams in the world and therefore threw the game.

We won't win against United in the cup because we lost tonight.

We may finish in the top 4 but that's the best we can hope for because we lost against Monaco.

Did I mention Wenger must go? Mid season too. Just for the hell of it.

Who cares who replaces him. Generic writer of reactionary article's nan could see that Giroud was going to have a bad game tonight and miss six chances.

Wenger out.

Arsenal are doomed.

Season over.

If Arsenal had won tonight would you have made this article?

I get where you're coming from Darwin however this result has definitely been coming.

The City game was a catalyst for some good results but the actual performances have been poor since then - players are just turning up and not getting out of second gear atm.

I should add that while this article is a parody of the plethora of spur of the moment reactionary statements I've read while walking home... I am not defending our performance tonight nor denying that major weaknesses in our squad were exposed. They were. Glaringly.

But some of you reactionary fans and out-of-the-woodwork Wenger haters have at least added some comedy with your bold armchair analyses.

It has been a while since we actually played some good football. Even in the Vila game though we scored 5 we did not play that well at least not 5-0 good. We could not put up a fight against Spurs, we were outplayed at home by the bottom team Leicester and out played by Palace with a midfield of Mutch, Ledley and Puncheon. We have been so shît lately even by our standards this season. This result has been coming for a while.

Pathetic performance by Arsenal this. Who was their on-field leader tonight? This club has no natural goal scorer, the kind of player that can get that scrappy goal when needed.

Cheese on toast. That is the answer. Everything seems better after cheese on toast.

Arsenal will not progress until Wenger goes, it is that simple, you guys have stagnated over a ten year period now and i am amazed you have done nothing about it.

You deserve better and need to move on from what is becoming a farce and get a guy in with new ideas to bring life back into the club.

Changing managed is risky business that could also end in tears. I think you are right though
