Leeds Utd v Wigan Matchday Thread

A trip to sunny Wigan for the travelling Faithful this time, apparently we've never beat them on their home turf...........time for change methinks ............

Venue..DW Stadium Date Sat 7th March...K/Off 15:00hrs

Team News
Leeds United , Sharp picked up an ankle knock on Weds night, but will be hoping to recover, Morison available, Austin still out .

Wigan
Expected to field the same side that beat Norwich on Weds night, so Jason Pearce could get a song from the Leeds Fans ............as could Jermaine Pennant if he get's a start.
Kvist may recover in time to be included.

So with Wigan in 22nd place but putting a few good results together, and ourselves sitting in 15th there's not much separating the teams , recent form for both sides means this game certainly isn't easy to predict ( they never are , for me anyway )
Over to You................get your predictions in .............Guess what........1-2 Scoreline for me, time we had a win in Wigan Cook and Morison .....................

Come Onnnnnnnnnnnnn Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds!!!

Seven wins in ten games this year.

To be fair, a lot of of people were questioning the wisdom of an influx of foreign signings over the summer...not many of whom have featured/ been influential during this 'rich vein of form'.

But hey, time to celebrate another win rather than worry about who contributed.

Let's not forget the shipping out of bucket loads
of sh 1 T signed up under the Colin/McD era of
'Lining Mates' Pockets.'

Can't believe a defence that consisted of Berardi, Bellusci and Silvestri actually kept a clean sheet.....

the potential for horrendous errors due to the language barriers were insurmountable, esp when you add Woottons birkenhead/scouse into the mix

...but Massimo and Redders pulled it off

Facts re the last two games of our rich vein of form

V Ipswich

Silvestri
Bamba
Bellusci
Antenucci
Cani (bench)
Beradi (bench)
Doukara (bench)
Sloth (bench)

That’s 8 out of the match day squad of 18

Today v Wigan

Silvestri
Bamba
Bellusci
Beradi
Antenucci
Cani
Adryan (bench)
Del Fabro (bench)
Doukara (bench)

That’s 9 out of the match day squad of 18

And then add to them the real influence of academy players

To me we're a lot better off than where we were last season

I personally think we've had a significant contribution from a good many of our so called useless foreign imports

I just wish we had a prolific striker.

And I wouldn't care where he comes from

Shame a good thread turned into playground humour.
