I noticed this article on the bbc football pages:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32058109
and it made me wonder which players have been the best examples of daylight robbery for each of the clubs around the English game? I'm looking for fans' top pick of the one squad member yr team has sold for serious money who has gone on to do absolutely nothing for their new club...
I thought vermaelen looked a great player in his first season at arsenal, but he went on to suffer from the same bones of balsa and muscles made of perished elastic that so many of wenger's squad have done in recent years. so when they picked up £15m for him from Barcelona it seemed decent business, and that looks even better given he hasn't yet kicked a ball in anger for his new club.
for wolves, I'd have to nominate steven fletcher. always a bit of a sick note at molineux, with a tendency to take 6 weeks to recover from even a bruising haircut, we managed to ship him on to sunderland for a similar £15m. since when he has gone on to be infamous following one particularly disgruntled fan's "two seasons, seven goals, one new Lamborghini Aventador" tweet.
be interesting to hear from fans across the whole of English football, as well as any fellow wolfs who have a contender for fletcher. but focusing on biggest rip-off sales not purchases, as we've far too many of the latter to choose just one from
the great training robbery

Talking of young prospects, Ibrahim Keita is on his way out. Another "one for the future" developed from our exalted academy.

Yeah, not sure what happened with him, started brightly.
But this next look really look the business apparently so we should see some good results the next few years from the academy.

This club is going places, this isn't a short term gains approach anymore.
As I have said before, I have never ever felt as excited about wolves future as a club as I do now.

If Wolves are going to do it properly they need to stay in the Championship for many years

Kenny Jackett will never manage Wolves in the Premier League.
Kenny Jackett’s successor will never manage Wolves in the Premier League.
Some people reading these words will never see Wolves in the Premier League again.
Those that do will have less hair and more belly by the time it happens.
Wolves ay we.

Coaching career[edit]
Unable to find a new club, Jeffers began working for Everton's academy on a voluntary basis in 2014.
Yes, he is obviously minted. Wonder what he is teaching the Everton youngsters?
