I love away fans...

and I want them back in the south east corner. I want their tickets capped at £20 as is proposed by the premier league supporters groups. The atmosphere's garbage with them stuck in the coffin dodgers area.

Also I want our tickets capped to a reasonable level also. I'm not paying £30 to watch Morison when I could pay £18 to watch Messi !

Who's up for a protest ?

The group I go to the matches each week are a mix of guys and wives. From my experience the women love the footie as much as the guys - they're just not as vocal. They're always talking about how the guys are playing, they just don't shout it out as much.

No one will tell me they're in there just to satisfy the husbands/partners, they want to be there. I also think they see it as a joint interest, something that they do as a couple - personally I reckon that's great. They go to functions (end of season/xmas) and get as pished as the next person ...........

That's just my observation of those I sit with - it doesn't obviously apply to other parts of the east stand.

'Care to explain the off-side rule?.'

The reason not so many go to the new stadiums is because they don't need cleaning yet...!

Back to the OP I have a question, in fact two:

Do we want premier league football

How will we get it if we don't pay prem league prices?

Surprised no one else has pointed this out

I'll answer you 2020 as no one else seems to be brave enough...!

1. Yes we do.

2. We will utilise our current squad, common sense and our wonderful scouting system to locate the sort of players suitable for improving our lot. We will then acquire said players and also remove some of the also ran's and deadwood that have littered our club this last season.

Mr Redfearn will then coach the new squad to a standard required to obtain, through their efforts, the move from the Championship to the promised land of the PL.

Everyone on here will then be in dreamland.

I used to know the offside rule, but who knows what it is nowadays, what with the phase one/phase two interpretation?

posted on 27/3/15

The new interpretation is simple.

If attacker is in an offside position, and a defender makes a deliberate play for the ball, regardless of the result of the defender's action, the offside condition is reset.

The only exception to that is when the defender has made a save, i.e., a play to prevent the ball heading towards the goal from going in, then the attacker may not get an advantage from being in the offside poosition and an offside infraction will have occurred.

Need to keep up Owl....
