Good luck to Jimmy as he starts to resurrect his career elsewhere. I don't think he will play for the Brewers again. The club did the honourable thing to keep him on the books despite his injury - staying loyal to our longest serving league player. However, this is presumably the beginning of the end. I am sure he is not in the plans of the boss (the other Jimmy).
He was never a favourite player of mine but he played his part in where we are today and for that I thank him. Good luck Jimmy.

Robbie Weir has been with us for a year longer than Phil Edwards Mr Emnez. It might be Dean Lyness as the longest serving or Robbie Weir.

Robbie Weir is now longest in my book.
Signed at the end of May 2012.
Damien McCrory, Lee Bell and Dean Lyness all signed later in the close season and Matty Palmer signed his first pro contract in Aug 12 so you may want to count him if you count his youth deal.
Weir, Bell and McCrory all made debuts at Sheffield United in the League Cup with league bows at Rotherham a week later.
Phil Edwards is a year behind, though it does seem like he's been here a lot longer, which I mean as a compliment!
