The boy was too lightweight, I'm glad Massimo Cellino blocked it.

He probably broke his jaw chewing some cream of mushroom soup..!

You just know that if Cellino got us into the premiership he would be buying £10 million players with £50,000 wages straight away.

I suspect if Cellino took us into Europe some would be trawling for unpaid speeding fines in Miami just to prove how awful he is at the same time as confirming that the youth policy isn't working as there's only seven home grown players in the first team......

"Leeds have been lacking a winger in recent weeks"!

Redders has been shouting about needing wingers for months, and yet does nothing about it from within the ranks.

Monty, Adryan and Duke can all play as wingers yet Redders won't and hasn't bothered to try.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But none of them are wingers. He'd clearly rather play actual wide players out wide than central players. And Doukara has played a fair amount of time on thew ing recently ffs

Stevie Dee

Ain't that the truth.

The dark lord of misery is probably trawling twitter as we speak so he compile a negative slant in time for the next time Leeds United lose.

Within minutes of such an event that will be posted and he'll be telling us how he told us all just how it would happen. He saves them in draft.

Mr Redfearn is. IMO, working at his job reasonably well and utilising his squad competently.

The results are showing this.

I was a bit concerned when he first came in as to his suitability, but he has won me over. He appears to have a good relationship with Massimo Cellino. I am sure he will have advised MC that width is needed.

I can see width as being addressed in the summer window.

Eric,

that is the route we need to be taking. We have the players to play expansive, passing football but too often away from home we tend to get penned in to our own half and don't dominate games.

Looking at what Bournemouth have done, and to an extent Brentford, we can learn a hell of a lot. You don't have to spend stupid money to achieve success but you need to buy the right players, not just quantity.

I trust Redfearn at this stage, I just hope that the board back him and don't just bring players in from abroad against his wishes. We have to let him do it his own way.

Seems that our coach/manager is as aware of our shortfalls as anyone else is ......... good stuff. now lets see us recruit good wingers in the summer.

No doubt if they don't come with recognised, or god forbid Italian/jonny foreigner sounding names they'll be rejected immediately by those in the know.

Could be a very interesting summer of transfer activity - certainly hope so anyway .....

With value for money being cellino's top priority, if we think for one moment to the scarcity of wingers (genuine), you can see where the problem lies for us, those clubs that do have genuine wingers want top dollar for their players & on top of that if you want british born then things get even more complicated & pricey........

I wouldn't mind a young lad called Will Hayhurst coming in as backup for a better winger. Only just signed for Notts County in League 1 but is meant to be a really decent prospect according to some Preston fans I know.

Already has the Leeds connection with Simon Grayson
