Did I not tell you Lewis will be going to Mercedes
Did I not tell you Alonso's presence in any team is divisive
Did I not tell you that Raikkonen will be exposed together with Jenson Button as the least deserving WDC in the history of Motorsport.

Alonso has not divided McLaren with his presence. In fact most people have praised the way him and Button have worked well together despite the early season troubles.

I don't want to say you are lying, but you know that is not true. Most McLaren fanatics have been bombarding us ad nauseam about the glory days McLaren had with Honda and how this partnership will be renewed again. Some in fact went as far as proclaiming that Honda will have a stronger power unit than Mercedes

I will forgive you on this one, you are clueless about the politics of lunch. You see, Alonso's pockets run deeper than Button's if their contracts are anything to go by and these two are world renowned for buying their mechanics lunch. Alonso has out-lunched Button and now Alonso is getting all the reliability, hence Button did not even take part in today's race. I know its a sad state of affairs when mechanics are bought over a plate of lunch!

Ok, I'll concede that most F1 fans (not just McLaren fans) were hopeful of their chances which led to a degree of naivety.
