As of Thursday Silvestri was declared fit, then on Friday he declared himself unfit.

As I understand it, at approximately the 65 minute mark of the Norwich game he had a heavy collision with Jerome.

As someone else suggested, perhaps he was badly bruised and he hoped he would be fine but realized on Thursday that he would not be 100% to play on Saturday?

Yes, but personally I think he needs to man up. You can tell he has that kind of attitude to everything as he is always scared to dive in where feet are going. Needs to man up most have played with worse. Doesn't look bruised really.
