Gets special dispensation to be allowed to be present then doesn't turn up.
Cellino doesn't turn up again

Can't blame him I'd be in a shocking state if I thought I might have to pay Cameron Stewart £800k

This is dirty work, why wouldn't Cellino just send one of his minions?

Did anything think he would show up?

Maybe he sent a lawyer, they usually are involved in court cases.

Jonty - are you basing your post on Cellino asking to be allowed to attend? Do we know this was the case or have the FL just told him he can attend if he wants to?
Seems an odd case anyway with the fact the FL did not sign the contract off due to Haigh being the signatory and not being at the club.

Stoopo, league registration is one matter, contractual law is another.

JLA - but if the contract isn't verified by the governing body then is it actually a contract?
Just asking as I don't know enough about footy contracts and the law.

Depends on the language in the contract.
Maybe, there is a provision that states it is not binding until registered with the League. However, Stewart's lawyers could easily argue that Leeds had the ability to have it approved by the League and breached their contractual obligations by not doing so.
On the face of it, looks like he has a great case, but depends on the language in the document.

Must admit I think he has a case but I can't believe someone thought he was worth over five grand a week!
