Well done Leeds, great result

Stevie, if we win our last game and gain 1 more point than last season it will still be failure. If we improved at that rate it would take another approx 25 years for us to make the playoffs and 30+ before we went up automatically.

We had the opportunity of bringing in some good players with the McCormack money. Its been wasted. 1 point extra is an abysmal return.

Mate, I understand where you're coming from but given my age and the highs & lows experienced following Leeds United I do look at a longer term picture.

I believe that the sacking of Thompson is the tipping point for me, up until that moment, despite the obvious issues on and off the pitch, this was a transitional time for the club.

There's a few that will make a mockery of that point but hey it's there to see. New ownership, players and coaches. Transitional can be negative or positive but it's the period that takes you to an end game.

There's a lot wrong with this club and it was never going to be put right in one fell swoop. Thompson's dismissal undid whatever progress had been made.

If the foundations were more solid I'd be confident for next season. As it stands I'm not sure what the future holds.

It's not the level of progress I'd expected but one more point is one more point and in light of what's happened at Leeds United this season, if we beat Rotherham, then we should take a view that they've done well to achieve that tally.

We've wasted another season.

Big summer ahead.

Who we sell, or don't, is going to be just has important who we buy.

If Cellino is still here, which am sure he will be, can't see him learning from this season

This seasons disappointing tally can be put down to one thing - The failure to appoint a decent manager at the start of the season and to stick with him.
Any occurences after this fact are inconsequencial. (If that's how you spell it )

WeLl done by way to the team yesterday. I was just as amazed a Morisons effort to stay on side as with the goal.

He should have tried McD with backing, on failing he should have backed that Darko bod, and with two failings, he should have backed Redder's and kept the bod that Redder's wanted with him sorting the team out!..

He shouldn't have tried a Watermelon, he should let Mother Earth sort the fruits out the way she intended!.

Tony, "it" you've spelt right!.

Agree - the sacking/suspension was very disappointing

Tipping point for me too

To be honest Stevie I don't think Massimo Cellino sees it the same way.

I think he will have seen some of his choices do reasonably well in the first half, remember it is he who gave the two year time frame, he will count Silvestri, Antenucci, Bamba, Berardi, and probably Bellusci, Wooton, Bianchi and Cooper as plusses. He will also acknowledge the play of Byram, Mowatt, Cook, Taylor and Phillips.

Some he will acknowledge were not what he expected and they will be on their way.

I think the damage was done earlier in the season with the comings and goings of coaches. Personally the one I was most disappointed with was Darko ...!!! One of the strangest management choices ever, a successful coach elsewhere who wasn't then given the backing he deserved and removed far too quickly (IMO)

He will see this season as being on target. Breaking in and introducing players to a new country, way of life and league.

I expect, if he's still here come August, that we will have fewer players brought in and the quality to be higher.

I still feel we need to move on Morison and Sharp. I would add to that most all of the loanee's we've got other than those already named and although I like him I would hope to move Doukara, after a decent start he's failed to impress.

If Cellino stays I expect Redfearn to stay too.

I'm looking forward to the new season already

Agreed, I've said before that Darko didn't get enough chance given his previous record. I think the big MC listened to others....

That said having gone with Redfearn and finally bought Thompson in it was a peculiar decision to remove him and destabilise playing affairs.

Despite everything I'm looking forward to next season knowing I'll be spending more time there.
