Balance the side

Interesting hearing the pundits saying what we need in some regards I do agree with what was said especially about the injuries we simply cannot go into another season with this problem it really does kill us. I think it's fair to say had Chelsea had not just the amount of injuries but also the duration of the injuries we have then they wouldn't be wining the league.

I do agree in some respect about a better striker but really who is out there that is available who would make a significant difference. I see people talking about the likes of Higuin who is a fine player but is he in the class of striker we need seems as though we would just be replacing one good striker with another, there really isn't that many top bracket strikers out there.

For me the key is the side needs to be balanced better. On the occasions we looked dangerous today we used the width of the pitch by getting players wide, I'm not gonna criticize Ramsey because he had a decent game but he just isn't a wide player plain and simple. I just do not understand why Walcott is not being used. Moreover in the summer Wenger has a big decision to make one of Cazorla or Ozil will have to be sacrificed. I personally think it will be Cazorla he seems to want to go back to Spain at some point so I wouldn't begrudge him that. We need at least one wide player who consistently gets chalk on his boots that's the way you beat the likes of Chelsea. I hoped it would be Oxlade-Chamberlain but his injuries are a consistent worry going forward.

The injury thing is interesting.

I heard that all the top medical teams use basically the same practices. Which I am inclined to believe.

So why is it that Arsenal has a crisis every season and yet Chelsea never seems to suffer too badly?

Is it down to the actual players that we buy? But then sometimes you guys get players and then they develop injury patterns.

I think it must be at least in part down to the training frequency and intensity.

basically is not the same is it?

I'm sure there are differences and that's why our injury record has been what it is.

It's not a fluke. I hope shad has made a permanent difference.

I was just covering my a'rse with saying basically. I meant and heard 'the same'. As I said I would be more inclined to look at training methods than medical practice.

We need a muscular presence to add to Coquelin.
I will keep Ozil and Santi but get rid of the quartet of Diaby, Flamini, Rosicky and Arteta.

Of course there could be an element of reputation preceding you.

So because of your injury crises, maybe you have a reputation amongst prem clubs as having a soft underbelly, and maybe they then get a bit more stuck in than normal, leading to more injurious tackles.
