Season so Far

Greetings and salutations good people. How goes it? 2 weeks to go to the next race and I must say this season is shaping up nicely. Last year it was all about the Mercs but we have seen a resurgence from Ferrari. Williams look solid, RedBull are improving and Mclaren are moving up the grid slowly.

Hamilton appears to be evolving further into a truly special driver, Rosberg appears confused and the Iceman cometh. Seb has managed to repair some of the damage to his reputation but his inability to stay within track limits is a problem that never goes away.

A lot of updates are expected in Spain so we could see a few surprises. I for one enjoy the way things are developing.

So what do you guys think?

Decent start?
More battles to come?
Will Mclaren come good?
What about Lotus?
Where the hell is the new Force India car?

Your thoughts please

Ferrari have closed the gap....be interesting to see if they can develop quicker than the mercs

nice to see wiliams looking decent for Frank if nothing else

Sainz and Verstappen look two genuine prospects

Redbull least said the better

I think the best part of the season so far for me has been the emergence of the rookies: Verstappen, Sainz and Nasr.
Also nice to have Manor survive, although I know not everyone agrees on that.
Looking forward to see what the car updates will bring going into the European phase of the season. Hopefully Force India will get their 2015 car up to speed quickly and Lotus and McLaren should continue to improve quickly. It should make the midfield battle closer and even more interesting to watch.

Decent start I'd say is about right.

Hopefully Ferrari can further improve to add more excitement up top. Was great to see Kimi on the podium. Midfield battle also looks like it could shape up nicely.

McLaren I expect will come good but won't get near the top 4 teams. Battle with Torro Rosso, Sauber and Force India if they improve I suspect. Fancy Alonso to get atleast one good finish, maybe a 4th or a 5th at some point.

Lotus an odd one, but then don't particularly like either driver so not too bothered.

There long breaks are an issue for me. It was the same for the cricket world cup. You would watch england play, then they didnt play for another week, it stifles the enthusiasm for the sport.

n e way - this season - ive enjoyed so far. Really impressed with Vettel. i do like the guy tbh, but i do agree that his 4 world titles really do overclaim his ability, but he is showing some top class ability now.

i dont buy in to the point that merc are really worried about Ferrari. Of course there is a concern, but they are comfortably quicker at the minute, in qualy and in race trim...well at least Lewis is.

Dissapointed with Force India, a team i seem to warm to. Feel a bit for Danny Ricc - hes a top bloke, great driver, but Red Bull have faded.

Season seems set up to be a great one - again, despite all the usual pre season nonesense

As a lewis fan its been a good start cos it looks like he should win the champ quite easily this year.

However if I were neutral id say its been average to poor start so far. No real barnstorming races yet.

Mercs look dominant again with Ferrari big time closing the gap and can almost hang on to the back of them.

A good season to me would have 2/3 teams capable of winning races. A great start would be 3/4 teams all battling for wins. and an amazing start would be like the one we had were first 6 races or something was won by different drivers. So on a racing basis its been very average/poor start.

I can see the season improving tho as the prancing horses get quicker, hopefully Williams can challenge also.

The best part of the season so far from a neutral point of view i think is the rookies comin thro Nasr/Verstappen and Sainz have all really impressed

I have been most impressed by Nasr

Who says pay drivers cannot race.

I think Mercedes are in a position where they cannot afford to make mistakes

That is great for racing fans. I'm cautiously optimistic about mclaren as well
