The Brewers in League 2 - part 6

Thanks for the positive feedback, Old Brookender. Labour of love but great to know that an increasing number of you are following with interest.

And on to tonight's update.

80. Marcus Harness. Only 4 starts but already up to 22 walk ons as a sub. Come a long way since the spectacular afro cameo pre-season V the rams.
1 yellow. Must be hoping for a breakthrough season next year. jimmy seems keen on the 'Dutch Way' so all the best.

79. Mark Oxley. 5 starts on loan, curtailed by injury. Hibernians in the Scottish Championship last year. Go to You Tube and watch him score from his own area against Livingston!

78. Adam Reed. High hopes when we signed him from Sunderland, but fizzled out after 5 starts, 3 subs, 1 goal and 1 yellow. Left for York, last seen at Whitley Bay.

77. The legend that is Darren Stride. 5 starts and 4 subs is a tiny fraction of his record in Brewer's history that will almost certainly never be matched. Director of his own building company.

76. Kelvin Maynard. 5 starts, 5 subs, 1 goal, 1 yellow. Mulling over a contract offer for next year. Jury's out.

75. Adi Yussuf. 5 starts but an impressive (though somewhat forgettable) 24 entries as a sub. 2 goals, including one at Bramall Lane, 1 yellow. Banging in goals for fun at Oxford City.

74. Rob Kiernan. 6 starts on loan from Wigan. Still on Wigan's books though finished last season re-united with Mr Rowett on loan at Birmingham City.

73. Mystery disappearance. Andres Guerreri. 6 starts. 8 subs. 1 yellow. Finished 2014 at Plymouth Argyle, but I can't find him! Not even on Wikipedia!!

72. Rory Delap. 7 starts, 1 goal. Possibly the classiest act ever to wear the black and yellow. Hugely disappointed when he called it a day. Now coaching the under 15's at Derby, that Gilly passes on to him.

71. Second legend of the evening in Kevin Poole. 7 starts, 1 sub, and 1 desperate attempt to get on the last game of the season against Barnet, thwarted by the referees final whistle. Another whose greatest contribution was in getting us out of the Conference, though never underestimate his role in picking out Legzdins, Lyness and McLaughlin. Now fulfilling the same role for Birmingham City.

More tomorrow, including the loanee that pitched up when we couldn't win the toss up, our first five goal hot shot, and a new entry with a bullet that we all hope will go a lot higher in the chart!!
