Wenger has been trying to play Cazorla in a holding role for the last couple of games and i think he might not sign a CDM in the summer. He thinks he can do a job if Coquelin gets injured or suspended. He did the same with Arteta when He joined Arsenal.
This would mean Arsenal will sign couple of players including world class striker and goalkeeper.
It's a big risk in a away games, but at the Emirates Cazorla can play a holding role because teams settle for draw.
Wenger has a good reason not sign another midfielder because we already have Wilshere, Cazorla, Ramsey, Ozil, Rosicky, Arteta, Diaby (if fit) and Flamini who all want to play.
Flamini is not offering anything for Arsenal and Diaby is rarely fit, but I would rather keep Diaby at Arsenal than Flamini.

you can remove Arteta, diaby and Flamini from the list of midfielders you listed straight off. The others are all more offensively minded. We still need that cover for a defensive midfielder, or perhaps if we're lucky, someone good enough to push Coquelin down into 2nd choice.
As far as strikers go, if Walcott was available from another team at £40m, Arsenal fans would be begging Arsene to sign him. He's a little below the top tier of strikers but there really aren't that many we could sign who would offer more.
