We now have a total of 24 players who will expect to be given squad numbers for next season. There may be an additional youngster or two to gets one but i am concentrating on players who have already had one or newcomers.

Does not take einstein to work out a huge problem with our squad. Strangely it has not been rectified by Warnock, McDermott or Cellino and until it is sorted we will continue to have players playing out of position. Anyone who has played the game at any standard knows the benefit of having 11 players comfortable in their preferred positions.
Ridiculous that last season we had
Wootton CB playing RB most of season
Byram RB playing RW some of season
Taylor LB playing LW for some of season
Berardi RB playing LB
Sloth CM playing wide right
Ajose CF playing out wide
We really need to lose 2 or 3 of our strikers and 1 or 2 central midfielders and replace them with
1xGK
1xLB
2x RW
2x LW
2 CF
Would offer any manager so many more options of changing tactics both before and during games.
Would take away our one-dimensional lack of penetration
Would add more fluency to our play with players not having to cut back on to their favoured foot.
etc etc etc.

All sensible suggestions. And what some have been saying for years.
Too many on here have been sucked into the dreary world and instead of offering suggestions and reasoned debate about footie, the club and its players like you have here, it's refreshing to see you have broken the chains.
We need box to box players and width. We also need strikers that do their job...!! That means score goals.
Happy with Bamba and the young players already brought in. But still need more in and a coue out.

I think we need another CB or two because I hope Bellusci will leave and IMO Wootton is only a 5th choice kind of CB and a 3rd choice RB
Might need another LB for cover for Taylor. Can't only have Berardi as back for either Byram or Taylor.
Need 2-3 wingers. Unless we're planning to use a Walters on the wing or a Doukara for example, but think he'll be leaving
We've got too many central midfielders
Think we need another good striker who knows this league. Obviously we'd need to make room for him and let go a couple of strikers. My thinking is Doukara (who I think will be leaving) and someone else
