If as many now begin to suspect we pull off a deal for Ramos it would represent a huge statement of intent on our part and one that would close the gap somewhat in people's minds about how far ahead Real Madrid supposedly are.
Some of our fans seem to genuinely think Real and Barca operate in a different stratosphere to us. That's really not the case. Especially with the kind of money we're bringing in now.
Bringing in Ramos will show the world of football we can pull off deals that some thought impossible. I have talked about mercenaries in football and that is still something that concerns me but if we are all in the era of the mercenary we may as well adapt and be as good as anyone else at bringing them in.
It's an exciting time to be a united supporter. Anything is possible and if we bring in Ramos we can start to look forward to and very successful future.

People have such small minds when it comes to distances. Madrid to Manchester is nothing. People in Australia have relationships between places like Melbourne and Perth. I'm pretty sure Ramos can conduct a decent relationship in a smallish distance compared to other successful long distance relationships

True but then it has been widely documented that Di Maria didn't really want to go, he was surplus to requirements at Real. Gary Neville has said that himself, he hasn't gotten over leaving there yet as his heart is still there.
Ramos is still under contract, Real don't want to sell him. To get him you will have to pay a heck of a fee and then pay him more than he is on at Madrid, which wont be paltry. I just don't see it, but I wish you well.

It all comes down to whether he wants to leave or it is just tactics to get a better contract. If he wants to leave then we can easily pay the fee and the wages, no problem.

£28.6m for Ramos, if were selling him with 2 years on his contract we would get £10m max for him.
