The Source

Hi all,

After a few days off I'm back at work again today and 'the source' has come back with a few updates.

*Billy Sharp - Terms agreed between player and SUFC. No fee agreed between clubs. LUFC wanting £500k. No reports of a swap including Murphy.

*Morison - Been told he can leave the club. LUFC wanting £500k. Interest shown in championship and L1. No official bids.

*Brandon Barker looking unlikely as MC only likes loans with view to permanent.

*Rosler wanting wingers but none are too close as yet.

*Byram likely to be kept next season. Everton have backed off after LUFC not willing to listen to anything less than £5m.

*Bianchi to stay next season. Rosler thinks he was an underrated player last season from what he saw and believes in the right team he can do much better.

*Sloth - Same as above

*Wood apparently looking great in training.

*New keeper a priority as Horton will play in U21s

*Barton isn't going to happen.

*Sidwell the preferred centre mid. LUFC contemplating a bid.

No new signings in the pipeline just yet other than Alnwick if he impresses.

11 goals in the last three seasons.

wow what a record.

and again.

he is on good money, we want rid and has not scored regularly for three seasons now.

so what part of him is worth 500k, go on see if you can actually come up with some reasons as to why a league 1 side would pay 500k for him.

Having said that, you have proven you have no idea about player value.

do you remember when you suggested that we'd get

200k for Norris?
or
250K for Pugh?
or
500k for White?

I do.

Good times.

He also said Byram could go for 80m

There were some people on here who thought he was a good signing only 1 year ago.........

I will remind you we paid 600k for him.

I thought we got him on a free cause we agreed to pay off the time left on his contract?

Or did that fee come to 600k?

I'll admit I was one of those happy at his signing.

At the time I was concerned with all the foreign players we were bringing in.

Didn't feel they looked particularly good and thought thy would struggle to adapt to life in The Championship.

Then we signed sharp, 28, good record and promotion under his belt.

Looked good on paper...unfortunatly football ain't played on paper

600k is what we paid to sort the contracts out.

Sharp has done nothing for 3 years now. Always a risk buying a player who isnt playing much - question mark on his head straight away.

Personally i thought it was a lot of money at the time on a gamble. Unfortunately it looks like another expensive gamble that failed.

Yes we paid off Sharps contract to him personally which amounted to 600k less than we are going to pay Cameron Stewart
Incidentally I am gutted how Dale Jennings has turned out.he had the world at his feet signed by Bayern for£1m I thought he would have difficulty getting in ahead of Robbins and the French guy so when he became available at 250k naturally I thought he would be a good aquistion how wrong can I be
He didn't train properly so he put on weight and generally lost the plot.I hope Robinson gets the best out of him
Hamill went to Town signed by Simon when I saw him he was a shadow of the boy that tore us apart playing for Barnsley something happened at Wolves I believe he got into some bother but it as affected him greatly now playing for Rotherham along with another lad who had potential Danny Ward and then went down hill

According to Sky Sports a fee of yes 500k has been agreed between both clubs so there you are Matty pI should make a note of what you said but quite honestly your not worth it

No 62 that means we've robbed them....it doesn't justify your point

The player is worth what the buyer is willing to pay (if this is less than the seller wants, then he is worth more to the seller)

Is Sterling worth £50m? If Man City are willing to pay it, then yes.

Simple as that.
