Goodbye Fabian. It was nice knowing you before you slip into football obscurity. Should have picked up the phone and asked mr sinclair, Mr Roswell and Mr johnson et al how promising young English talent get on at man city. There to fulfil the English quota. Mug. Shame as he is a quality player. £££££££££££££££££££££ over ambition maybe

So much for wanting to stay at Villa
Sherwoods comments about him being a loyal professional
Can't say I blame him for wanting to move though... City desperately need home grown players. He'll rarely play...

Delphs a good player I think he will start for City playing the Barry role. Much better option than Fernando and Fernandinho.
If I was a Villa fan I would be trying to find out why did he change his mind after being so adamant he was staying last week.
Surely if it was money or medals he would of already of considered that before he ended the first deal.
Sherwood is eerily quiet too!
Wonder if Villa have money issues.

"he will start for city. he is better than fernando."
Fernando is not a starter. And Delph isn't better than Fernandinho.

8 million for him?!
That is an absolute bargain. He'd have been better off moving to a team like Liverpool, Southampton or Spurs. Would have been more likely to break into the first team.
I have to say, I can see him going the same way as Sinclair...
From a spurs perspective I think this could mean McCarthy may be on his way to us...

He could have walked for free last year and had an even bigger payday, but credit to him signed a new deal as he wanted Villa to receive a fee if he moved on

Yeah right. He probably got a nice fee for signing the new contract, and another one for his move. He's bang average anyway so I don't give a monkeys

The £8m release clause only applied if the team was in the Champions League. After all, they're not going to pay a lot for a bench warmer.
