Who would you start next week then?

After a good performance today against Everton, who would your starting eleven be against Burnley? My would be:

Silvestre

Byram, Bamba, Cooper, Taylor

Adeyemi, Cook, Mowatt

Antenucci, Wood, Dallas

Silvestre has to start.

I'd go for Byram and Taylor at full back. I like Berardi but would prefer to see Sam in his natural position. I think Cooper needs a good run of games and he'll start to be more consistent, and playing Bellusci and Bamba together is a bit too erratic.

The midfield three seemed to work well today, and Adeyemi could provide that physical presence that Austin gave.

Antenucci's ability on the ball and pace on the counter was impressive late on today, Wood is an automatic pick, and if Dallas does sign then he has to start as our only natural winger.

One of the loudest cheers today was Berardi mullered that guy (fairly) and came away with the ball. I meant to say no need to change him. Thought Ant had a poor pre season actually, scored against Tadcaster and looked sharp, but didn't really hurt teams. Wood scoring that cracker might just have lit his fuse. As for that kit, my word it looks like your watching a team from the 70/80's so retro but I actually liked the yellow one

Berardi is solid for me, can defend and gets forward. Byram is the better attacking threat by far so makes sense to play him further up the pitch as we have no better alternative. Antenucci is not a winger, way too selfish.

Team that played today with Murphy to come in for Adeyemi as and when, Dallas for Doukara if it happens. The threat was coming all from the right today, with the left sorted we will have much more balance and unpredictability in attack.

Taylor looked good at left back, seems to have gained a lot of strength.

Bamba solid, Bellusci best of the rest.

Erwin to get better through the season but not a starter yet.

Take Adeyemi out for Murphy???

No chance.

Meant when Adeyemi gets injured or suspended, not a shoe in Adeyemi looks solid.

Adeyemi got MoM and the missus was swooning having her photo taken with him, so he's guaranteed a starting place or she's not watching anymore.

Adeyemi looks a real solid signing. If Dallas is in the same vein, Uwe gets top marks getting them in.

I agree Mike, what I saw of Adeyemi against Everton then I'd leave him in; I think Murphys injury has forced that issue for the better.

Wasn't a bad game against an Everton under 21 side, but it was missing that umph and we need more fire in the bellies; we may find that in first 5 games of season as we'll have points to play for.

Not sure 4-5-1 will be our best formation though, too defensive and not enough bullets up front.

Who's this Silvestre you talk about? Only Silvestri, Horton and Turnbull are first team keepers we've got. Can he make a save without making it look x10 harder than it actually was, and therefore failing to catch it? If so, he's in!
