I'm at a loss as to why anyone would be untoward this signing(and I'm not just talking about posters on this site).
You don't stay and play regularly for as long as he has at Barcelona, without being a very good player.
Get the feeling...Pedro being consigned to Barca's bench recently has probably skewed people's outlook.
Can beat a man, more direct and certainly has the most adept movement(off the ball) out of the lot of our attackers, which in turn opens up space against the most stubborn of defences.
Will teach Eden, Oscar & Willian a thing or 2 about movement...best type of movement is arriving in space behind defences, running onto passes unawares. Needless to say, nightmare for opposition to read and defend.
Over the years has also adapted to various positions, roles and systems successfully(Possession, counter etc), which bodes well...
Overriding attribute is the fact he's exceptionally both-footed in any given situation and will invariably test the 'keeper with shots(ON TARGET!), whether it be inside or outside the box.
Without taking into account...work ethic, winning mentality and big game contribution as starter or sub(European pedigree).
Age wise and ability balances the attacking options.
Do we have that type of well rounded attacker at the club?
Definite considerable enhancement to the starting 11.
Not even incurred any major injuries in his career thus far(touchwood).
Maybe there is a snobbery element involved, with some.
You know..."If x isn't good enough for y, then why is x good enough for z." that old chestnut, lingering. Pet hate.
Or might be the fact he's not the EXPENSIVE household name, that deters and dissatisfied some.

I concur.
Preposterous statements by the masses re Pedro.
Ludicrous to even entertain the notion that he's finished.

He was a regular in one of the most hard working Barca sides
The only question mark is physicality...even then at £21m, its more than worth the risk.
Brilliant player.

Ah yeah but he couldn't get in ahead of Messi, suarez or Neymar.

Bit of a myth that really. Pedro made 50 appearances last season in a treble winning Barca side.

No doubt he is a quality signing for us
Pedro also comes with a proven character and the willingness to fulfill defensive duties that Jose demands; you don’t last seven years at Barcelona, even as a squad player much of the time, without the latter attribute.

I certainly didn't take it as one and I don't think anyone else did either
Just wanted to point out that Pedro played a lot last season for Barca.
Not sure how many games he started but he made 50 appearances so he was very well utilised and certainly wasn't stuck on the bench all the time which is what some incorrectly think.

Perplexing inquiries into the instrumentality of the player in question. The sheer magnitude of ferocity on the curtilage leads one to anticipate (within reason) magical qualities needed.
