Fifty-seven Manchester United fans were arrested in Bruges on Wednesday night after their Champions League win over Club Brugge.
Chief Constable of Bruges Police Dirk van Nuffel said glasses and chairs were thrown in a clash outside a bar in the city centre after the 4-0 win, which put United into the ChampionsLeague group stages.
He said 32 travelling fans and six Belgians were arrested near the bar while 25 more United fans were arrested near the stadium for not having a ticket.
Curious as to what you think could be done to stem these violent outbursts?

I can't see that one holding up in a court of law, that is for sure.

I don't think they get charged, more detained and released later to ensure they're not up to no good.
Think all but 2 from the bar have been released as well, the bar was attacked by Brugge Ultras although there were reports of it being a pre-arranged dust up

I had the gut feeling it was Brugge bad boys involved, for a Belgian club to give a kicking to Manchester United is a big deal, and they want to make a rep. Posters like to jump to conclusions. Our traveling support is among the best in the world, at least they get involved.

Apparently there was trouble at OT as well, which surprised me because the atmosphere around the ground before and after the game seemed pretty friendly.

Spanish hoolies all in black tried to attack us Norn Iron NI fans in Spain a few years back, but were quickly repelled by seasoned rioters, lol.
For some reason,we had Millwall and Soul Crew boys among us,as well as loyalist hardmen from Belfast and Portadown.
Poor Spaniards never stood a chance and local cops got them off-side.
Fair play to the Man Utd boys standing their ground, when targeted,as they likely saved innocent fans too.
