With the news that WBA Chairman

is playing hardball with Berahino, will Spurs end their interest? Will Berahino throw his toys out of the pram, and refuse to play? Will the WBA fans turn on him for asking for a transfer? Should be an interesting few days.

At the moment with the transfer deadline fast approaching my prediction last week of no more new players arriving at WHL this transfer window seems to be almost a done deal now.

Can understand where Peace is coming from and why he'd be so keen to keep. For WBA their priority is perhaps staying in the league and avoiding relegation. They've started poorly and they have a developing talent who can give them 10-20 goals in the PL season. Money that they may lose out on by selling Berahino later on would be less important than remaining in the league.

Levy has royally messed things up as expected by leaving it late. Hope he had a back up plan for when Berahino became unavailable.

A good debate from both sides

With regard to Albion losing £Millions by hanging on for another 6/12 months; if he helps keep them in the PL this season then that's worth £M+++ over a coup,r if seasons with the new TV deal.

I agree we desperately need support for Kane and yes we should've sorted it three weeks ago before the season kicked off but I think the alleged price tag of £25M for Berahino just ain't justified

Its what clubs do though top, thats why deadline day is as popular as it is, clubs want to wait and see if the price drops or other better options suddenly become avaliable at a better price, also from a player perspective someone like saido may think, im not going to do anything to early as bigger clubs may come in for me if i wait, i hate leaving our buisness this late but its the way we operate atm

You'll get everything just mentioned even if the deadline day was before season starts. Levy can get off trying to find the bargains but at least Spurs will have the personnel before our first game

I'm just wondering how long till a player goes through the legal routes when blocked from a move
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The legal standpoint is that Berahino and WBA must honour the contract between them. Only until an acceptable offer is received and accepted by WBA, and the player is willing to join the bidding club, will the club allow a transfer.

Fair play to WBA chairman
Levy did the same with modric and Berba.
If they want 25mil or just keep him fair doos.

On 1st June 2015 we had a bid turned down for Danny Ings - on 18 August we made our first bid for Berahino.
What the fack were we doing in the 75 odd days in between
We can't blame anyone else for having our finger up our ariss for most of the summer

If at first you don't succeed, try try again...near the end of the transfer window. That seems to be Levy's motto.

Firstly, it was the papers who said we had bid for zings, nothing came from Spurs.
Secondly, read my post (15 minutes) showing that we do try to do business early, we just do not broadcast it.

Trippier,Wimmer & Alli were all kept relatively quiet.

Alderwiereld was made public by Southampton whinging, Berahino was made public by the West Brom chairman & we first approached Bayer Leverkusen in June re Son.
