Realistic top signings

Given that the transfer window is about to slam shut in four days, which top players could Arsenal realistically sign?

If Wenger truly had aggression in the transfer market, I think Arsenal could definitely pull off one or more of the following signings:

Álvaro Morata - CF, ~£35m
Mats Hummels - CB, ~£25m
Benedikt Howedes - CB/FB, ~£20m

Which players would you like to see us target in these coming days?

Fans of other teams as well, which players could your club realistically sign that would improve your XI?

Thank god you're not in charge at Arsenal.

Hummels & Howedes would be an upgrade on Mertesacker, especially given age. Howedes is super versatile as well. They're World Champions, but they're not good enough for the FA Cup Champions?

I rate Giroud more than most, but Morata is probably better already.

Morata not a bad shout tbh.

I really think that Morata if he continues to develop could become very good. He has all "ingredience" to become top class.

And yes....he has more talent than Giroud. Absolute no doubt about that.

We are not signing fack all.

If anything it will be some useless loan move.

Our net spend to date is barely £9M.

Shocking stuff by Wenger once again.

We have had a whole summer to invest money on quality players that have gone elsewhere.

With long term injuries being apart of arsenal, how can he think the current crop are good enough

Spurs biggest needs are a DM.....wanyama...and striker....austin...not that keen on bahrino(sp) especially with an ever increasing fee needed.

none are better than harry clarke

Terrible suggestions by the OP. Morata isn't even better than Giroud and the other 2 aren't needed.

Morata is a very good player who will only get better but we all know he'll be back at Madrid after Juve
