When you constantly talk down games importance. When your to feart to admit a game is a must win game . all week in the press we've had it from McGoo, McCall and WGS that it wasn't mustvwin, as if preparing us for less than 3 points. ... How does that transcend to the players ?...
...well we seen the result of it last night
As the old saying goes "Fail to prepare. Prepare to fail"
No leaders in our team. No energy. Dropping off when we lost the ball. The management stand completelty to blame.
It was a shameful performance and result. No heart. Georgia looked like the team that was playing for something. And you can be sure the same failures will continue to get picked.
I'm not gonna pick on individual players because they were all honkin last night. But several of those players need dropped and some fresh faces brought in.
And just to compound what I said about the complete lack of ambition in our management WGS post match interview was the epitomy of everything that went wrong. " we did enough not to lose" ...Jesus wept
Not a single shot on target. Against the team ranked 147th in the world. We did enough not to lose ?!!! We deserved to lose. And to say we didn't is wrong on two levels. We were absolute gash. And these are games we should be talking about with the word "winning". The word losing against the worlds 147th best team should not leave your lips. Georgia are ranked 147 for a reason. And its not because theyre good. But we are left needing snookers it appears !!
That statement from WGS was followed swiftly by his statement "that we need something from the Germany game"
A win Gordon. A feckin win ffs. Just say it !!!! What the fook are they afraid of ? What exactly constitutes a must win game if the Georgia game or Germany game don't
I be seen it so many times before and we're all sick of watching and hearing the same drivel.
We could be the only home nation not going to EURO 2016. Excluding england, all with smaller populations and less footballing resources. So I won't have that as an excuse
Wales, with a population of ca 3 million are 9th in the world rankings. They prove it doesn't take world beaters from numbers 1-11. But it does take effort, it does take heart. It takes pride. Its takes belief and it takes confidence. And it takes a manager who views EVERY game as a must win. Before a ball was kicked their aim was to top their group. A group containung World number 2 Belgium. And why not ?
Scotland on the other hand straight after the draw started working on points permutations for finishing 2nd and 3rd ..
....and therein lies our problem
this is what happens....

One bad game after how many good ones? criticism is part and parcel but so is perspective, you've given up the ghost when all is not yet lost.

Bottom line BH
We are good enough to qualify for Euro 2016
They have even increased the number of teams in the finals giving us an even better chance of qualifying than ever before
And we may well have fcked it up again because we cannie beat a team as lowly ranked as Georgia in their own backyard
If you want to just write that off as a bad night, you go ahead, I won't
I'd be sitting here saying it just didn't happen for us if we peppered thier goal and it just didn't go in.
We didn't even hit the fcking target mate, never made their keeper make a save, it was gutless, lacked urgency, creativity, a cutting edge.
To me, a bad night is when you give your all and it just doesn't happen.
We didn't give our all last night, not by a long fcking way.
There's not a single player in that team that left everything out on the pitch, not fcking one of them.
Germany on Monday night was in their heads, and for me, for a group of players and s cotton lads who know how much we want to get back to a major finals....that ain't fcking good enough and shouldn't just be written off

Ok then
That result has been coming for a while. We were honking in Ireland but squeezed a draw out of it. The players chosen last night have been largely off form for their clubs or not first pick - Naismith, Fletcher, Brown, Mulgrew, Robertson, Hutton, ...
I mean WGS has said all along he'll pick form players. He didn't. Celtic got ragged dolled in the CL qualifiers. Brown and Mulgrew well off the pace yet they like others seem un-droppable. It's the same old story. If you don't make players realise what it means to play for Scotland by dropping them after poor performances then you'll compntinue to get poor performances.
Time to recall guys like Rhodes, McCormack, Adam. Give Mackey Steven a chance, Armstrong, freshen things up ffs. And sometimes play two up fookin top ! Last night was a game to go 4-4-2. Morrison is ocnsistently played out of position for Scotland. He is given a defensive midfield role for Scotland in 4-2-3-1. He is a goal threat in 4-4-2 as we see all the time with west brom. Add Charlie Adam and here's another goals threat. Put Rhodes and McCormack together up front...seriously just freshen it up with something like
Marshall
Whittaker. Martin Hanley. Robertson
Ritchie. Morrison. Adam. Anya
Rhodes. McCormack
Seriously think that would've been a much better line-up last night

So any time there is an appeal or a ruling the clubs must submit their bank statements
++++
And which bank would Rangers' statements be coming from

Take everyone of our Scottish players and put them in the team. We know how to play football.
