A Public Apology

Yesterday, after the match, I posted an article on here that can be generously described as "a bit extreme".

The truth is, I was delighted to see us take our 2nd win of the season, but I was frustrated by how we took that win.

Seeing a CB put on to sit on a 1 goal lead, with our opponents down to 10 men was infuriating. After the limp display against Ipswich I wanted to see Leeds take MK Dons to the cleaners and was disappointed to see us struggle over the line due to nothing more than than Dons not taking their chances.

I guess I was trying to be overly negative (or "realistic" if you prefer) to stop myself getting overexcited with a performance that would see us get slaughtered against better opposition.

But to be honest, that's just not me. I've always taken pride in my almost delusional level of optimism, and I don't plan on that changing any time soon.

So here it is. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry I put a downer on what is, despite a poor performance, a great result for Leeds United, and I hope that the win can push is on to a good run that sees us at the sharp end of the table come Christmas.

It's a bit stupid to label people as either cheerie or "dearie" just because they take a different point of view.

LIW, I'm very much the latter.
