There is gonna be some very strong rivalry i think tho, throughout today there has been word getting out about what guys from what other (rival) sites have been selected ... some of the names we have heard before. Braggin rights wars !!

Still waiting on details of what type of cars we will be runnin (slower the better for me) im better in race condition and closer action than flat out time trials slower cars produce much closer racing so fingers crossed. I would assume tho it will be GT3 cars.

delboy, is their any tuning of cars in this sort of thing or do you all have to race a standard car.

(not sure if there is any tuning in Project cars)

i have been wondering this bud (i know they have prohib tuning events in the pipeline) but everything is completely tuned (the highest degree in detail you have prob seen!) lol in some cases up to 6 pages of set info !!

tyre pressure, camber, caster angles, suspension, ride height, differential settings, gear boxes, bump stops, slow/fast rebounds, downforce, radiator opening size, brake ducts,sway bars, brake balance & pressure and more are all adjustable in most cases on every individual seperate wheel of the car. so just a couple of things yeah (all can be affected byt different circuits different weather and track temps). Different cars have certain things locked out as they dont have them.

Again something i need cleared up I cant see them somehow letting everyone set up their cars and again i dont see them revealing what circuit is going to be announced. Ideally id like them to announce the car and the set up they will decide so that we all have time to practice under the same circumstances.

Got some info on this now will be running the GT3 cars of which we get to choose what one. We will be running a specified set up of each car to run that we will be receiving at some point today but been told we can change downforce and thats all. Will be over 3 different circuits all around 40 mins races (about 24-28 laps), Brno, Zolder and Laguna Seca. Good news for me cos Laguna is one of my stronger circuits id out it down in my top 3 defo. Gonna run the porsche GT good balanced car if there was any long fast circuits i woulda prob went with the Aston Martin. Managed to get Thurs and Fri off in work which is a massive plus.

Apparantly there is a decent wee crowd from our site goin to support us aswel .... gonna be great !

well that was an experience !! First of all the whole expo was really kl i would recommend it to any gamer. Massive too (granted iv never been to one before to compare it) Got to meet the SMS team and a guy that i follow on youtube that races on Project Cars so that was really cool for me anyway.

Ok so donw to the nitty gritty ... standard was excellent really good ! I ran 3 races al about 30 mins long each in race 1 (Brno) i am indifferent on can be a weird circuit for me but out of 15 I came 9th. Was caught up in a cpl of battles that slowed me down and wasnt able to make any more times up. In race 2 at Zolder i made a mistake on lap 4 trying to get past a guy in 8th or 9th. It cost me about 4 positions but I a managed to get it back to 10th. I dont know if in race 3 they put the slower and faster guys in together cos in the last race I qualified 2nd on Laguna Seca (told you i can do special things on that circuit) but after an amazing race and battle with the top 5 i finished the race in 4th. Race 3 had only 2 secs covering the top 5 on the finsih line and was a battle with the front 5 from start to finish. As the the pack crossed the line there was actually an applause from a group of guys watching.

Sadly I wasnt selected to go thro' as there was only 8 drivers to be selected for Germany however massive happy that two of the 8 were from my site Mr Project_Sideways was a man possesed he won all 3 of his races with 2 poles also on top of that he also then took part in the open hot lap competition that was goin on to the rest of the visitors and without ANY practice at all he stuck in the 3rd fastest time (trust me thats INSANE!).

To be honest I was already extremely proud to be selected to go down in the first place as I have been serious Sim racing for just shy of 2 years compare that to Sideways who has been with my racing site alone for 5 years and whilst not racing at the moment holds a professional racing licence and has ran the Ginetta GT4's before (for those that dont know he was just one step away from getting a GT3 endurance seat that woulda meant Le Mans !)

The whole weekend was a blast tho and even just taking in the expo was reason enough to go down. Plus I also found out that one of the guys i race with is an Argentinian Tango Dancer which he had kept all so quiet for too long !!

So just wanna say thanks for the support guys, i appreciate it.... Ill improve tho and do better, I know I will !
