The Football Association

I suspect Gabriel will get a ban (possibly a game) for failing to leave the pitch though.

Probably.

One good thing is a chance for Falcao. I still think there's a top player in there. His goal against Palace was class. I would like to see him get back to his best then maybe we don't have to put up with Costa''s antics. They take some of the gloss off a win for me.

To start with I have no complaints about Costa being punished - he's lucky this hadn't happened before!

However to compare the 'provarication' that Gabriel endured to the Matic incident is laughable and has no parallels whatsoever.

Matic was subject to a shocking challenge that could potentially have finished a career, while Gabriel of his own volition got involved with an incident that had nothing to do with him and subject to no more than a bit of argy bargy more appropriate to an infant school playground!

BrummieBlue

I was not comparing the two incidents, merely the (suspected) reasoning exercised by the FA in reaching their decision.

I would never presume to suspect the reasoning of the FA

It's always occured to me to be described as random at best!

If it wasn't for Gabriel refusing to leave the pitch there is no way his red would have been rescinded. It's ridiculous

The three man panel already had the whole media and pundits in their minds when making the decision

Anything to do with Chelsea is overhyped by the media and pundits

It's ridicous the FA actually listen to it

Just like the whole doctors gate

Two doctors ran on the pitch but it was all the female doctor in the tabloids to create the usual drama.

If she s gonna sue anyone for unfair dismissal then look no further than the media who put her there, trying to create woman v moutinho

And her going on Facebook to play the victim didn't help either so good fecking riddance
