Never thought I'd see the day under Wenger where we finally find a better solution to Giroud, it's so good to be true you just know a long term injury beckons for Theo.
This isn't a typical Giroud bash either but the effect of playing him completely changes the dynamic of our team. You then have a slow front 4 containing Ramsey, Ozil and Giroud. Alexis switches up his game because he doesn't have someone he can rotate with as fluidly as he has with Theo/Welbz
Ozil can't be as effective because we lack movement and Ramsey doesn't use Giroud as well from the right than he does central, it's actually depressing watching us flog Giroud with no runners around.
Theo is completing his game so much more and it's making for a beautiful story, he's waited a very long time for this opportunity and our longest servant is now becoming a vital part of what is our most successful period in the last 10 years.
Walcott is not only a decent option but a system. He forces the opposition to adapt deep-sitting tactics and if they don't do so, he can punish them.
We've had so many false dawns with Sanogo looking like he could eventually replace Giroud then Welbeck looking like it too, who knows if Theo can but I really hope so.
Pace and movement in attack is our identity and I'll never understand why Wenger took the target man route, yes it helped general team play but then buying Ozil should have changed things immediately.
Alexis-Theo-Ozil is blossoming into something beautiful, long may it continue. Walcott's fitness will define our season.

More Giroud bashing and he isn't even playing. Give it a rest already. And as for you OP. You have a bloody cheek posting this article, since you didn't want Theo. You wanted Benzema.
Don't get me wrong, you were reluctantly willing to see Walcott given a go due to not having Benzema. But given the choice, you had zero interest in seeing the very thing you're now praising. And Arsene Wenger was the worlds biggest moron for even thinking it could work.
You were certainly one of the posters whom told me that I was insane when I said only injury could prevent Walcott from tearing the league a new one this season. Claiming he didn't have what it took to play through the middle. Now he's blatantly proving you wrong you post this.
Whilst I'm glad you can now see what the manager could see when he left the 50 million in the bank. I think you should keep this experience of being totally incorrect, in mind when talking about Giroud. That way you may avoid looking silly again later in the season when he's playing what is guaranteed to be HIS vital part of our campaign.
Dropping Giroud wasn't THE key. It was one of many keys which could have opened that particular lock. And for the last time. For 2-3 months of last season we all sat and watched as Giroud scored goals for fun with the same players on the pitch that Theo is using. So STOP SAYING THE TEAM CAN'T PERFORM WITH GIROUD IN IT. Because you know it's a big fat lie.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That hasn't changed I still think a top CF would make a greater difference and I'm sure most would but yes as you say from our current options I was keen to see either of Theo/Welbz get a greater chance so I'm happy they're taking it
I've also said for a long time that Theo will get more from Ozil something I'm sure you can testify to.
Dropping Giroud was the key, not much to it. As I said Theo is a system, our CF's define the style of play we'll be playing during the game and options we'll have.
Theo isn't world class and probably never will be so there's no regret for me in wanting that calibre.
Also I don't think it's right to claim Wenger's choice is fully paying off, after the Welbeck injury we are very short up top and as I said the inevitable injury to Theo scuppers absolutely everything (a major reason I wasn't so keen on relying on him)
Anyway as appealing as it is for you to see me wrong I can simply remind of this article before the summer even begun where I reiterate was has been said here http://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/312256

Inventor what do you think of the Nolito links? Could be a perfect back up for Walcott and Sanchez in both their roles. Scored a brilliant goal vs Barca the other day but been playing well for over a year now. A late bloomer at 28/29 but is the player Reyes should have been
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nolito is a good player, quite greedy at times but he's decent depending on how much he can be captured for I'd still rater focus elsewhere, maybe bring in more of a focal point but wouldn't say no.
Wenger must be fed up with Campbell then, can play the exact same roles

This is still unforgivable. You trying to justify it is laughable and pathetic.
Even if Wenger didn't want to sign a CF, he should've signed someone like Kondogbia.

Dubbed
I'm purely talking about the non buying of Benzema, which is a separate issue to not signing a DM. But as you mention it. If we're not going to play two DMs then as a signing Kondogbia was not an option unless we were willing to lose Coquelin to get him.
No way someone if his status comes to be the number 2 and Coq's performances warrant a No. 1 spot and all but guaranteed that us signing Kondogbia would have resulted in offers for Coquelin and him most likely leaving to be a starter elsewhere. Home grown aspect would mean, most likely to city.
I think we should have signed another DM but that wasn't the one because I personally am not willing to lose Coquelin. He IS going to add passing and great distribution to his game. Leaving him hands down the league's best DM, it'd be insane to risk losing him at this stage.

if wed have signed a DM we would be out the FA cup now

league cup even, almost undersold it then

Giroud should be sold in January. He has been more useless than Welbeck. Welbeck should be 2nd choice striker now. Goodbye Giroud

Ever heard of rotation? Signing someone of the ilk of Kondogbia or even Wanyama (even though I am not a fan) would give us tactical flexibility as well as another person who can do the DM job.
As for Coquelin demanding to leave. He's done well but he has zero right to be acting like a superstar.
And it's clear as daylight that you're overrating the guy. I am yet to be convinced.

Its taken 3 years and Henry to point out that Giroud did not suit our style. So much wasted time. Lets hope Theo doesn't get injured or we will back to square one. I hope the proof on the pitch has gone some-way in helping people understand how a striker can so alter the fluency of a team. And why what I said 3 seasons ago about one player causing our problems is so true.
