Wire.

If you think I went over the top with the way I addressed you I apologise,but the way other clubs fans are going on about Tomkins whilst their own players have got away with the same actions made me flip.
What I will say is the R/L should make it plain that from now on any player making the same gestures will be severly dealt with. If the RL was to make that ruling it would mean that Tomkins would have got away with it like countless other players. This would mean that every player would start on a level playing field and would know the RL would come down heavily on any future offenders.

Strange thread this when all but one of the posts are deleted.

I understand how people feel about Tomkins he is a talented player who does not need to resort to some of the things he does,but at the same time the RFL must get things straight and come up with some consistancy.

for god sake leave him alone the guy is a talent and we need all the talent we can get if we are ever to beat the Aussies I agree he did wrong but I have seen a lot worse

I only stated facts that the independent RFL gave no ban and you are calling for harsher punishment to the favourite for man of steel the week before warrington play wigan in a potential league decider. Suggest in my opinion that any bias is more likley on your side

Here are a few more notes of constuctive critism you may wish to make note of for next time you write a load of nonsence

"Once again Sam Tomkins has been let off lightly" - since when has sam been let off lightly in the past

"obvious to anyone who saw his `v` sign on tv or viewed the photos that it was a deliberate act" the fact the player came out and apoligised and admitted it do also make it kinda obvious

"Tomkins should have been punished more severly for bringing the game into disripute on such a large stage as the challenge cup final"
-the vaugest and wide ranging disiplinary statment in sport, please tell me a definition of what bringing the game into distripute actually is? Also how can the importance of a game effect the enforcment of the laws of the game? do we rank every game played in order of media exposure and write new disaplinary laws?

and finaly my favourite bit...

"It is time the rfl stood up for the game not some petulant player who thinks he can get away with anything" dont even know where to start with this one, big bad Sam Tomkins is picking on poor little rugby league! if you can try and back up any part of this rediculous statement with fact

I think it is about time that this thread was put to bed and its about time we all gave Sam another chance.
On Sunday against Wire when he goes under the sticks all the Warrington fans should stand up and applaud him and Sam should reply likewise.
Then we can all look at him for what he is,a very good R/L player.
