Do we dare to dream? he did wonder for the Saints and look at them now .....
Cortese

My understanding is that whilst cortese has a few bob, it's the fact that he's well connected to those who really have a few bob that's relevant.
He also has a nice case study in southampton to sell to those people.
I don't know if there's anything in this link, but the guy is a really hard-nosed driven, control freak, businessman. The southampton fans seem to think he's not a guy you'd want a beer with, or want to work for, but you'd be quite happy with him running your football club if success is your goal.

Cortese is NOT going to be our owner. He is 'fronting' a deal. The guy doesn't have the funds to buy a club. But he could get us a very rich owner.
Did a good job in Southampton too.
Hoping this is true. Phil Hay did say he'd heard this rumour too. Not sure that means much though

The point is, it matters most who's buying the club, not who's running it.
Has shown with Pearson
Cortese hasn't the money, so it matters who buying it

Who said I said anything. Just posted a link to a connection to a possible man who has has been involved in a club in the recent past who are now doing very very well

Let's all just hope Cellino sells soon and the new owner/owners runs the club as it should be run and we get the stability we so badly need and money to improve the squad. We need pace badly!

Some slightly good news on the takeover front, Peak6 are taking a 25% stake in Bournemouth:

So it's not going to be Peak6. They were rumoured to be interested in acquiring a football club and incorporated a new company in August based out of Park Row in Leeds:

Peak6 were the company that Umbers tried to broker a loan with GFH on what were described as "Wonga-style" terms:

It also means any money that has come into the club isn't a loan from them, as it would be against the rules on dual interests (in theory, they could be unaware of the rules):
