Just in from work to see Coquelin has been ruled out for at least 2 months.
Once again we have been punished for Wenger's negligence in the transfer market. Anybody with half a brain cell could see it was suicidal to rely on just Coquelin for a 50 odd game season. This of course rules out all AKBs who lorded over our masterful transfer window a mere month ago when we secured our first points of a very easy CL group that we are in serious possibility of not qualifying from.
So where does this leave us now? Arteta quite clearly is finished at the highest level, and is a crock, so cannot be relied upon. Flamini is at best extremely average and he too is not shy to the odd injury, so relying on him until January is extremely dodgy. But what other options do we have? Chambers has played and failed in midfield before. Bielek? Don't know if he is ready or any good. Kamara played there vs Championship opposition and was schooled so he is a massive no no.
The real worry for me is not only that Coq, one of, if not, our most important and consistent players, is out for a minimum 2 months, it is that Cazorla's form may heavily be affected by his absence. Cazorla simply does not have the legs to make up for his absence nor has the the nous defensively to cover up the inevitable mistakes his sub par midfield partner in midfield will make. I would consider omitting him from the team to partner Flamini with Ramsey but of course Ramsey is injured too.
This is the injury that could really finish us as serious title contenders. We will have to get to January within 5 points of the leaders and have a top signing ready to come into the team to have any chance. But I think we all know that he will dither and wait until the end of the month and bank on Coq coming straight back into the team and staying fit and in form for the rest of the season.
If that happens and we fail to seriously compete for major honours, then there is only one man who should be held accountable. Whether his apologists want to admit it or not.
So the inevitable has happened...

Once Arteta and Flaming are gone this coming summer you'll see the signings you crave I suspect.

When will you lot ever learn?
Sods law we will win next 3 games, go top of the league and the "we will win the league" articles will resume once more.
Was the same story before the emphatic leicester win, doom and gloom articles from the dropped points at chelsea. Was the same story before the united>watford>everton run. The most bipolar fandom on the internet continues on.

But even when we were doing well, it was still an issue that we had no adequate cover for Coquelin. That's been obvious since before the summer. It's just transitioned from a likely problem if we're not luckly, to an actual problem.

Agree with you Someday. We all knew if le Coq gets an injury we are in deep trouble. Arteta is and wont be the answer to le Coq. There were options in the market to buy an adaquat replacement for that case in the last summer. That irks me to death to be honest.

The key is to play counter attack. Quite simply compact the amount of space some of the ageing midfielders and defenders have to cover. Oh wait.....

lol what a load of garbage, I have said all season that we would pay for Wenger's negligence this Summer when people like you were willy waving saying Wenger was vindicated for not signing any outfield players this Summer.
Not a single thing has changed between the start of the season and now, only that my views have once again been proven correct.
For what it's worth, despite being injury ravaged and missing many key players, I still think we will win the league simply because our rivals are nothing special whatsoever and considering it is late November and we are only 2 points off the top spot, we are in an excellent position compared to most of the last 10 or so seasons. Our rivals are nothing special and have just as many problems if not more than ourselves.
That does not excuse the fact that Wenger has failed us once again in the transfer window. He took idiotic, unnecessary gambles that he did not need to take. It's about time people like you admit that instead of constantly coming up with baseless excuses for him.

Wenger is such an awful awful manager. Hate the fecking tvv@t for ruining our club
It's arsenal FC not Arsene wenger FC. Needs to stop being so stubborn for once in his life and spend some fecking money
It's a disgrace that this idiot has left us in this position but I guess Flamini is good enough
