New temporary formation

So I'm wondering what Arsenal's new best temporary formation is until either Le Coq returns or a suitable DM is found. Ramsey, whilst he could (should?) play centrally isn't a DM and Flamini is unlikely to be able to do the job week in, week out for the next 3 months.

I won't even make a stab at guessing so what do you guys think?

Flamini always gives you one good game in two weeks. Play him two games in a row and you are pretty much stuffed.

Flamini is by far a preferable DM option to Chambers.

Even ahead of Arteta for me. Not just saying that cos of Saturday.

Btw who was it on the arsenal thread who said Arteta would be fine as back up? remember having an argument with someone on there. Might have been Chris

Only problem with Flamini of late is that he thinks he is some sort of attacking Mf

Flamini's game like Coq's is based on stamina and running around the pitch. He just doesn't have the legs to play once a week, let alone two times a week. Wenger has to find an alternative till Jan.

Any time you forget who said something clueless it's likely to be Chris

Here goes the naivety. There's absolutely no way Ramsey-Cazorla will work regardless of the opposition. We tried that vs Sunderland end of last season and they destroyed us on the break at our place.

We were lucky not to lose. At least with Arteta, Ramsey could vacate his area because Mikel was positionally adept yet still struggled physically, imagine Cazorla being left isolated.

I'd suggest 4-3-3 with Ozil wide right. Flam/Rambo/Santi central but AW has failed almost every time with this system. Plus Giroud spearheading the attack with Alexis/Ozil flanking him (neither willing to get beyond) is a disaster waiting to happen.

If we did change the system I'd like to see

Campbell----Alexis----Ozil
-----Cazorla-------Ramsey
---------------Flamini

At least we'd have width with Campbell, Alexis being up top will force him into making runs. Ramsey can play the b2b role whilst Flamini can sit.

With Bellerin at RB Ozil can come into central areas and create space for him at will.

This would be the best solution but Wenger will do something stupid and I expect some bad form ahead

Come on guys ffs, just didn't see this level of regression coming from Arteta. Was fine before his injury.

I think you are forgetting our destruction by 5 and 4 goals in multiple games last season.

Thats why Henry's comments on the slow spine of the team as the main cause of our problems were so pertinent.
