Everyone including Utd fans have been saying Rooney is finished for about 2 years now. Sturridge ahould be conpared to Kane, Costa and Vardy. Not Rooney

Rooney is awful.

I have a genuine sympathy for United fans. Rooney, yes, his best years appear to be behind him, is still a fantastic player, with much to offer.

The problem lies with their manager. If things continue along the same lines, with their style of play boring the world and its dog to sleep, no matter how much Wayne wants to impose his will on the game, United will be the loser.

Finally, and not just because of the hammering our club dished out to Southampton last night, I can't wait for the return game against United.

Now, there's a result to ponder.

Goals win games, games win points, point win titles. Ergo, goals win titles.
