Bolasie is nowhere near the best African player. Mahrez, Brahimi, Aubemeyang are all so much better. Mane has a case though

Good shout regarding Mahrez though, the lad is class

Great from a City POV though, makes up for the lack of recognition for Silva and Aguero.

Still trying to work out why the BBC actually has a competition for African Player of the Year

The BBC Africa service is very popular and goes out in a dozen different languages down there.

The BBC World Service is also very popular but I am not aware of the BBC sponsoring Player of the Year in any other continent although I accept that Antarctica would be problematic

The BBC do have North and South America and Asia services, maybe they should run similar awards on there too.
