Genuinely feel a little sorry for Jose

I think everyone expected a Chelsea win today after the news on Thursday.

But, as much as I'm not a fan of mourinho, it must be awful for him to see the players who didn't want to know when he was involved tearing Sunderland apart right now.

Betrayal is absolutely the word. And I think Chelsea fans, credit where it's due, are bang on supporting mourinho.

The Madrid players fell out with Mourinho but kept winning. Ours should have done that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer me this. If the players are meant to turn up week in week out and perform for the fans, because they get paid thousands a week.

Why isn't Mourinho meant to come in week in week out and perform for the fans. Instead of blaming everyone but himself for poor performances? He gets paid thousands a week too.

Had Mourinho let the fans down?

The Eva incident is key IMO. This was the first week of the season. Morale should've been high. Who tries to deflect from the result by blaming the cob doctor, Mourinho or the players?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mourinho's job is simply to pick the team and tactics every week and he's done that. It's the players who haven't implemented them that are mostly to blame for our poor form. They've shown this week that they could have played much better than they've shown this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is that all he does?

Did Mourinho let the fans down?

Who was responsible for your success last season?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Our success last season was down to Mourinho assembling the squad, deciding the tactics, and then the players being committed to following said tactics. That hasn't been the case this season. The players have clearly not played to their potential. Say what you want about Mourinho, but there is no defending this total lack of effort from the players.

I have not seen Chelsea players get their manager sacked since back in 2011-12 season when they got AVB sacked.

Chelsea may go on to win the FA Cup but Top 4 or CL are gone.

Yeah, and the thing is even then we were only what, 5th/6th. We were 16th when Mourinho was sacked! This is so much worse.

Jose was a catalyst for sapping players will to play,as how can they go from performing well this time last year, to nine defeats out of sixteen?

If players were the issue, why did Jose pick dud's each week?

He stuck by guys playing badly, so did Jose want them to fail?

Why do you think Mata was dumped by Kose, after he was our best player?

So Mourinho was responsible for your success last season. But not responsible for your poor form this season?

Why haven't the players played to their potential this season?

Do you see what I getting at? How can Jose take credit for the teams success, but not for their poor form?

The Biggest job a manager has is motivating his team. Jose undermined that from the start with the Eva business. His job was also to realise the tactics being deployed aren't working, and to try something different (either during a game or in training) he didn't do that. He failed at the end of the day.

How do you know the players weren't just following Mourinho's tactical instructions?

I hear you Thib, but again I say best wait to see when bits more of the story comes out. suss the truth from the garbage not easy either. Something HAPPENED. There was a break in communications between manager and players. A good manager should not even allow a situation like that to arise. What was it the official club statement said... "irreconcilable differences" ..Thats da black spot in pirate terms. The End. Responsibility :always the manager.

I see quite a few jose haters swimming like sharks attracted by blood and tearing at the flesh of a mangled corpse.
No worries. regardless of what happened , Jose Mourinho and Chelsea are linked forever.
Move on time...

I'd imagine Jose kept picking players because he knew their talent levels and had faith that sooner or later they'd turn up to a game!

Plus he did drop some players - Terry, Fabregas, Costa, Hazard. Big names. Big players. Didn't seem to make a difference.

Football is pretty unique I have to say. This is Abramovich's business, if you owned a business (I'm sure some of you do) then how would you feel about paying top level wages to employees who didn't try because they didn't like their line manager?!

If I were Abromovich I'd be fuming with some of the players. Then again, maybe he's so rich that it just doesn't matter to him!

I was a Jose fan until the past few months, and then very recently I saw his nasty ego tearing at Chelsea, like a shark...........to use your analogy.

Jose did well by us until this season, although from the start of this calendar year, we have bben poor, imo.

Once Jose subs Terry, picks on the female doc, says he should have sold players in the summer, and then alleges Chelsea players were betraying him, he had lost the respect of players, and how was that motivational, or helpful, as we sat near relegation?

Jose tore Real Madrid apart, and was at it with Chelsea.

He is an obsessive win at all costs maniac, which works most of the time, but not always.

Perhaps if he kept the like of Mata, Lukaku, de Bruyne, Schurrle, rather than mikel and ramieres, I would respect him a little more, but he does not like others taking his limelight, imo, and wants dull yes men about him.

Thats fine blue, I tend to go with the clubs decisions. The board are in a better positions to know the ins and outs. I fiercely supported Jose till the end, and will do for who is next appointed.
I am wary of being manipulated by the media which has way too much power to influence. Not to mention destroy at whim.
Already the Chelsea fans are split by recent events.
I really wish we could come together and support the team . If some real injustice or immorality occurred, lets cross that bridge then.

Wisely chosen words and sentiment, my fellow bluesbrother.

It would be refreshing to hear directly from Jose and the players concerned, but no doubt that is a no-go zone, legally for starters.

Unite behind Hiddink for now, and see if we land Pep or Simeone?
