Choose one of these:
Finish 2nd in the league, fail to win the FA cup, go out in the last 16 of the CL; meaning Wenger decides to retire and we get Pep in the summer.
Or:
Win the league, don't win the FA cup and go out at the same stage of the CL, but Wenger stays for another 2-3 seasons.
I realise Pep taking over us is very unlikely whatever happens, but would the potential benefits he would give us for say 3 years outweigh the benefits of Wenger winning the league this year and then staying on for the same period?
In my opinion, even if we win the league this year I wouldn't have a great deal of faith in Wenger to take us to another level beyond that i.e. become a force in Europe and regularly winning the title. Whereas with Pep the sky could well be the limit for us, in my opinion.
Thoughts?

Am I the only one who doesn't rate Pep's time at Bayern that highly? I think he's done a good job there obviously but I'd still like to see him take over a lesser side one day, that would be a better indicator of true greatness.

No you are not. Bayern are nowhere near the team they were under Heynckes when they won the champions league. You would expect such an "amazing manager" to have at least kept them at the same level let alone improve them
It is easier for though for the simpler of us to ignore these facts and make mythical heroes, so who are we to burst their bubble?

I'd say making that side better would be almost impossible as there simply wasn't anything more they could achieve. They played brilliant football and won everything under Heynckes .
For me his time at Bayern indicates he can manage well in another League but he still hasn't shown he can take a side from a fairly average/low level and turn their fortunes around.
It may not even be something he ever does but I'd really like to see him take on a proper project.
His time at Barca was still special though.

Well he did win Fifa World Club Cup with Bayern Munich but that was more Jupp Heynckes work finished off.

Yeah, they tend to boil down to are you passionate about Arsenal or passionate about hating Arsène Wenger.
Too many seem to want the worst for Arsenal just to fuel their hate for Mr Wenger.
